Each team must have nine offensive players in its starting lineup each day – a catcher, a first baseman, a second baseman, a shortstop, a third baseman, three outfielders, and a designated hitter. Batters may be changed any day. Pitchers can be changed only once a week.
Each team must have five starting pitchers and four relief pitchers active each week.
All owners are connected via conference call. Straight draft, 21 rounds, to bring team rosters to 27 total players.
Draft order is the reverse order of the previous season's final standings, with the last-place finisher selecting first in each round.
Players unprotected fall into a free-agent pool and if they are in the National League may be selected in the draft. The free-agent pool will obviously include players not on last year's rosters and players signed by NL teams during the off-season. A player who is still with his major league team on the day of the draft can be chosen. Players in minor-league camp or not on the official MLB roster cannot be drafted. Players sent to the minor leagues between draft night and opening day may be kept. (But once the season starts minor leaguers cannot be signed as free agents.)
Each owner must advise the Commissioner of his desire to draft free agents. Free agent requests are fulfilled by the Commissioner on Monday nights. The deadline for requests is 8 p.m. CT / 9 p.m. ET each Monday.

Hitting
• Batting average / AVG
• Home runs / HR
• Runs batted in / RBI
• Stolen bases / SB
• Runs scored / R
• Slugging percentage / SLG
Pitching
• Wins / W
• Saves / S
• Earned run average / ERA
• Hits plus walks divided by innings / WHIP
• Strikeout-to-walk ratio / K/BB
• Innings pitched / IP

One of the teams available has on its roster Ohtani, Soto, and Acuna. The other team has Freeman, Betts, and Sale.
