I am recruiting for two leagues at Mendoza Baseball. I have one opening in an AL-only league and one in an NL-only league. Both leagues started in 2000 and have very stable ownership.
Mendoza Baseball is an advanced system with many unique attributes:
- Reserve clause and arbitration system for younger players
- e-Bay style auctions with long-term contracts
- 40 man Major League roster
- Minor league player draft with a separate Minor League Roster
- Sabermetric scoring style that is intuitive and correlates well with WAR
- Defense captured through Defensive Runs Saved
- MLB-like economic model, with salaries scaled to 1/1,000,000 of MLB salaries
- Very committed owners building their teams for the long run
If you have been successful at roto or points leagues and are looking for a new challenge, take a look at Mendoza Baseball. The website isn't fancy, but the gameplay is second to none and the site has dedicated owners who spend many hours building their teams for the long run.
I am recruiting owners to take over the Money Ball Too and Wonderful Wizards teams in the flagship Mendoza Classic League, and the Dodgers Dynasty and Palo Altoids teams in the Bill "Inspector" Caudill League.
Update: Wonderful Wizards franchise has been acquired by a new ownership group. Dodgers Dynasty team has 8 prospects in the MLB Top 100, not bad for an NL-only league!
