There's a weird wrinkle in IDP scoring, where a full, solo, sack will count as the aggregate of a tackle, tackle for a loss and a sack. But half sacks are only awarded half the points for a sack, and no partial credit for the tackle. Is there any reason as to why this happens? Is this just something dumb that the NFL does and doesn't even notice?
Did sacks get updated to include QB hits now? Because in the past this season, QB hits weren't included in sack totals. If this is a change that happened, this completely throws the balance of sacks out the window and it really should be addressed.
I think it is the NFL. Tackle for loss is different depnding on where you look too, ESPN for instance takes sacks out and calls it stuffs. Consistency in statistics on the defensive side of the ball is long over do from providers.
Seriously. I wish I had the option to keep all of the stats separate. I simply want tackles to be 1.5, TFLs to be 3 and sacks to be 4.5. I don't want my half sacks to be worth .75 instead of the 2.25 you'd get in a normal system.

Any update on this?

We only use official NFL stats and this is how the NFL scores it. I don't think there's anything we can do to track these differently.

I see. Thank you. Do you think it's possible to add a half sack category then?
