I was always under the assumption that the first week's waiver order was based on the draft (#1 waiver pick goes to the person that was last in draft and so on). In my league, one of my members just complained that he didn't get his waiver pick (he had been listed as #1 in draft order). One of the other members said how could he have #1 draft if he won. So, my question is, do the first week's draft orders change in accordance to who won/lost? Thanks.
Hello! Here are some details from the Owner's Manual that I think will help you:
-- How is waiver ranking determined?
Leagues that have waiver claims award waivers based on reverse ranking (for example: in a 12-team league, the team ranked 12th will be awarded the top waiver position).
-- Can I ensure the worst team in my league receives the top waiver claim priority every week?
Yes, go to League » Settings » Edit Waiver Wire Rules » Reset Order Weekly » Yes. Waiver order will reset at the start of each new league week (Tuesdays at 6 AM Eastern for NFL, Mondays or Fridays for MLB, NBA, and NHL, depending on your league settings). The waiver order will reset based to inverse league rank. League rank is determined by your league's tiebreaker rules. An owner might show a waiver priority of 1, but then drop down in priority if they rise in the rankings during the week.
Yes, I read all of that prior to posting. The person with the issue was listed as #1 in WP in week one (because they had been last in the draft)...however they were not given their waiver pick. This is my question...I have the default settings in Waiver settings...so fleaflicker resets the order every Tuesday. So, this means if on Sunday, someone sees that the are #1 in the WP, that means nothing because it resets on Tuesday so the worse players get first pick?
Also, it says that when a person gets their pick they move to the end of the line. But what if the following week they are the worst team....do they automatically skip to the front again since fleaflicker resets weekly to allow worst team first pick?
I'm sorry to bug ya again.....another question in addition to the others I added. When the waiver priority is reset on Tuesday...is it ONLY the worst team that gets moved to the front of the line? Does everyone reset (2nd worst gets 2nd pick, 3rd worst goes third, etc...) Or do they stay in the order we see (only one notch down because worst team gets priority). So, person A, B, C get their picks and go to the end, the following week, C is the worst player and gets moved to the front....if A is the second worst, does he get moved to the #2 spot or does he stay in line with everyone else? I hope that makes sense...lol
