It allows 1-30 positions.It is separate from the IR.That is it.There may be more options coming but for now this is it.We will have to make our own rules until more options are given to us.Flea must have felt this was important enough to give us the bare minimum to use until they can devote more time to it and the options for the TS.
so it counts against the bench for instance in a rookie draft if you have 8 open bench spots but 2 players are on taxi squad you will only be allowed to draft 6 players which is sort of annoying because technically taxi squad players are players you might want stash and wait but if they count against your bench it makes it more difficult to wait for a player to develop, hopefully it changes in the future
I will give you an example of how it works.I did an rookie draft in one of my leagues.5 rounds.Every rookie we drafted and put on to the 'Taxi' gave us a pick back.So when we were done we had 5 open roster spots but we also had 5 rookies on out 'Taxi Squad'
We had to decide if we wanted to keep those 5 roster spots or eliminate them due to having the rookies on The Taxi Squad.

Example:
We have a roster of 20 plus 2 IR spots.
So in our maximum roster spots it says 20+(2)
Now we are adding 6 taxi squad spots. So here is the question.
Why doesn't it say 20+(8)?
Because we don't want to add 6 more bench spots. I hope this makes sense.
