In my league, various players* received -1 for totaling negative rushing or receiving yardage in Week 1. This is not something we want to happen, and I cannot find any way to change this in the Edit Scoring Rules or Custom scoring options.

If I check the button for "Positive Values Only," I am concerned that negative points for INTs, fumbles, missed PATs, etc. will go away.

Please help. Thank you!

*Some examples: QB Stafford for negative rushing yards, WR E. Moore for negative receiving yards, at al.

That setting only prevents players from finishing with negative totals.

If you want to prevent negative values on every rule, the commish needs to add a lower-bound to all the rules, e.g, "1 point for every 25 Passing Yards when Passing Yards is greater than or equal to 0"

hi there, never seen these negative rushing -1, -5 before... how can we specifically correct this and remove this?

The rule has always worked like this. Here's an example from last season: fleaflicker.com

The commish will have to edit scoring rules and replace all yardage rules with versions that start at 0 so they won't apply to negative values.

From your example:

1 point for every 10 Rushing Yards (0.1 per) applied to -2 Rushing Yards -1

5 points for every 100 Rushing Yards (0.05 per) applied to -2 Rushing Yards -5

So, Philip Rivers received -6 points for two kneel downs at the end of the game.

I did look back and see that it was scoring the same last season, surprised I didn't notice it.

But, unless I'm missing something, your example is showing, negative yards are being over scored. If 10 rush yards equals 1 point, -2 rush yards should equal -0.2 points if the league uses decimal scoring and 0 points if your league does not use decimal scoring.

Looks like you're right your league rules were set up correctly last season. We'll investigate more to see what changed exactly.

Thanks. I've edited my reply, because I went back and checked last season's scoring and noticed the same scoring rule being applied. But I still think the negative yardage is overweighted if a player finishes with negative yards. I can accept a kneel down subtracting from a players total, but as said above -2 yards, shouldn't count as -10 yards.
