Had a similar problem few years ago. It was a lot of work but what I did was create a brand new league then manually add players to teams to make up exact rosters of all teams make the league rules exactly the same then just invite all the current active owners to new league and invite new ones to replace the inactive owners and just drop out of the league with inactive commish. If you like the league enough to keep it going that's probably your best option because Flea support doesn't seem to respond to users requests and problems anymore.
