In my league, we have two owners who put in identical bids:
Team A - (3-2, 2nd in his division but #3 team overall)
Priority 1 - Packers D for $5
Priority 2 - Vikings D for $7
Team B - (3-2, 1st in his division but #4 overall)
Priority 1 - Vikings D for $7
Priority 2 - Packers D for $5
In the end, Team B received the Vikings D. From previous responses on this forum, I was under the impression that bid amount then tiebreaker were the defining factors. In this case, Team A should have had the tiebreaker.
What exactly was the system's logic here? Does the claim order actually make a difference?
Hello! With an FAAB waiver system, the priority setting becomes a factor when the owner's budget is exhausted of if the owner is setting up conditional waiver claims. If there is a tie of two or more teams during the regular season, the player will be awarded to the team with the worst rank, so it makes sense that Team B won the bid.
Thanks for the reply, although I just realised I got the ranks the wrong way round in my description. It was actually Team A who had the worst rank. They were #4 overall but Team B, ranked #3 overall, won the Vikings D.
In this case, surely Team A should have won?
If you need the Team IDs, they are 1409092 and 1409091
