My league has fumble recovery = 1 point for ALL players so that any loose ball recovered by anyone is worth a score however we really forgot to think about players who might recover there OWN fumble. We really don't want this to count as a positive. It is too drastic to add a -1 for fumble now that the season has started to cancel it out since that is a significant stat and would change many outcomes.
Is there any way to tell recovering someone else's fumble from recovering your own?
That is a possible fix that I have also considered, but not one I would be happy with. I don't want to penalize offensive players (including those that participate on special teams) by preventing them from gaining points for fumble recoveries. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Is your league a IDP or Team league?

Change to ALL players to just DL,DB and LB and that will come close to what you want
