If you look at my thread within the league.. i believe ive created a work around, but as you can see i had to bring everyone's $ amounts up to the original format.. All i wanted to do was just have a 48 hour bidwar and not the in-between claims being separated and accounted for in the $ amounts.. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks

I have been reading through your forum and league board updates as well as looking at claim pages and your activity log.

Some initial questions for you:

- Have you had any claims process as of yet, or did you just set things in motion yesterday?

- Are you clear of the distinction between the two types of waivers that players can be on? Drop waivers are what the 48 hour setting will apply to; game-start waivers are different and process daily.

Yes i am clear on that and in the past we have been able to have a 48 hour bidwar after the draft.

To answer your 1st question, no claims were processed but what had happened was some claims resulted in entering a past claim section on a waiver page. But the [Pending] greyed out button changed its hover notification to will be processed within 21 hours and some of my owners $ amounts were modified to different amounts lower obviously. But nothing was claimed or gone through. So there was some modification from when i have done this in the past till now im guessing. But as of now you can see that i have reset everyone so that they can continue to create conditional waivers. Only the issues is now.. in order to remove the two separate fields of claims that they have for past and current, they have to remove and delete the old ones and stack them as new again.

Also as you can see, contrary to what i started this thread about with some of the "hover over [Greenbutton] notifications" that also has adjusted its time on players that have claims in from last night..

Tracy, i want to add..( i believe that's your name).. that in past years we have done live drafts, but as you know with all the posts and issues i have further escalated and which you know about live.. we resulted to switching to an email.. So as far as i can tell.. my design for wanting a 48 bid war.. where they only use this $ money 1 time.. and then i switch to a normal waiver system should work as its always worked.

And this is the message highlighted off to the far right.. if you take the language as it states, that would mean that no claiming system exists before the season? right?

But what would happen if i turn this to "NO"? i believe all players would turn into 1st come 1st serve automatically available for "ADD"

So i wonder my league's claiming system in an endless cycle rolling to every morning until after the 1st week of games?

Anything on this Tracy? For those "past claims".. will they be processed accordingly with new ones or did something else happen?

If you turn that setting to No, then all players will switch to first-come first-serve. I am wondering though if it's going to hold your waiver system from processing until after the first week of games. I would expect Past Claims to show what has already been processed, but obviously that is not the case here. I'm going to escalate this to our tech lead and see if I can get some insight from him -- I hope to have a response this evening. Can you send me an email with an update in the morning?

It worked in the sense of actually processing over night, not going the full 48.. but rather processing over night.. The settings are exactly the same.. So im not sure what the difference is..

Hi Lou, The setup you have is perfectly valid, it should work. But this league's complex IR and waiver rules uncovered a new bug that prevented the claims from being processed.

We can fix it but in the meantime, my recommendation is that you disable waiver claims and keep a preseason lock so that the system doesn't accidentally process claims without all owners having resubmitted their selections. As you note, the claims you submitted yesterday are already labeled as "past".

Thank you Ori, so i need to lock this down and wait to be able to attempt claims again?And just to confirm, are you saying that those who have past waiver claims are no longer valid and most likely wont be considered while processing takes place tomorrow? I sort of got the feeling that this could be the case and why i told everyone to redo them and make them current.

Also, how would i go about doing what you suggested.. Because i have the lock free agents = Yes.. What else would require changing?

I just want to report that i did what you suggested, but is there any contingency plan that i can put in place now, quickly in order to get my owners to fill their teams?

I know you are troubleshooting the bug in the system and with games starting on the 3rd. I feel comfortable going off your suggestion. Do you think its possible to still simulate at 48 hr bid-war or 24 hr maybe or simply execute a standard waiver priority system before the games start on Sunday.

I'm thinking of scenarios such as...

option #1-Time and Date of be there or be square 1st come 1st serve (unfortunate) Add frenzy. Which could be like a lightning round of craziness..

option #2- I really have no other ideas.. Obviously you know this is a curveball for us based on past settings and 'codeing design" maybe?.. Just goes to say that this 'bug' could really cripple our league and the original design. I get that know one knew of the other, but if we can keep that in mind i guess that would be helpful.

There is a new discussion within our league one resolution, so when you have the moment and time to chime in on this stage.. this would be a good spot.

Start tomorrow morning at 8:00am to Friday 8:00am

Worst case scenario is it possible to let us keep everyone we have rostered at this point and have a live draft? Use last year's standings or even randomize it and just snake draft the rest of these guys and go forward? At this point im wanting all options on the table for sure.. ill poke around in my test league to see if its possible.

The more i think about this.. this has to be something like the difference between what happens after a live draft vs email draft, because this was our 1st year doing an email draft.. thats the only difference i can think of.. And now we cant replicate it?

Hey Tracy.. we are giving it a go.. sorry i couldnt wait with the Season starting Sunday.. I believe i figured out a work around.. See my note.. -

"Whether or not Flea gets back to me before the end of the day..The BIDWar will be back on for opening tomorrow at 8am. It will last roughly the 24 hour cycle.

Most importantly, What we can do to avoid any issues and dance around what we think the issues could be with our League setup (according to Flea). Slide as many players as you can to the DL. In other words, fill up the space on your DL and we are gonna go old school, because this is what we did the very 1st year when I originally designed this part out of a safety not knowing how the settings would react (little did we know, it might be necessary again)."

If I swing and miss with this oh well.. But this was what i did with the original design of the league not knowing how those claims would take. I think it should theoretically work. because of some of the testing i did in another league i created just for testing, lol.. Thank your or checking back, and i actually would love to offer more suggestions and creative advancements from this particular league that i discovered..

I will make it a point form now on every year to copy and paste the BIDWar $ amount/results so we can have existing records and everyone can review immediately and year to year. We are implementing this same thing this year. Can you check on this DL min, max issue and make sure i can have my guys and gals submit as many waiver claims as possible?
