I'm having a problem with the draft for this Dynasty League. Many draft picks appear blank. The slot for the player to select in the draft isn't shown, and the entire setup, if I'm not mistaken, is correct. Any suggestions?
Those spots that are blank are where the team that is supposed to draft there has traded up in the draft to earlier picks, therefore the system puts a blank space in that space where the draft pick was originally.
Example. A league has a 4 round rookie draft with 10 teams. Team 8 has made trades & owns all 4 of its picks before its Round 4 draft slot. So Team 8 has no pick there bc all its picks are before that - so a blank spot fills that draft slot bc it doesn't exist anymore. All the picks after Team 8's 4th round pick get moved up a spot.
The real reason those spots are blank is because those owners with blank spots, have chosen "keepers" on their team. Since it's a dynasty league, no one needs to designate keepers. So go into commish settings > Set Keepers and remove all keepers from every team (or tell the owners to do it themselves). This will fix the issue.
Looks like the teams that needed to clear those keepers did so and the draft board is clean now. Nothing obnoxious or arrogant about that. It's just how the system works. It anticipates the number of roster spots a player will have once non-keepers are cleared at draft time. Somebody who sets too many keepers can end up with little or no roster spots for drafted players. A player who does this will see many or all picks shaded in pink and indicated as "unused" on their picks tab. These same picks that are shaded in pink on the picks tab will appear as blank squares on the draft board. This is well know and I hope the information helps somebody out. If you are in a league that lets you set a ton of keepers and you have not drafted yet, you can see this at work by setting everybody as a keeper and looking at your picks tab and the draft board. Don't forget to fix it afterwards!
I found all the explanations very useful. When I have a moment, I'll start exploring. I don't fully understand the explanations, but I'll get to it. However, it seems strange to me because it's the seventh year of our dynasty, and it only happened to us last year that as an administrator I had to do almost the entire draft manually, and this year. Thanks to everyone for the effort in responding.

That is why there are blank spots

"the real reason"? lol. I stated the "real" reason, don't be obnoxious or arrogant - you are incorrect.
