Dak Prescott was assigned a fumble in the the Cowboys v. Football Team game on Sunday. The play in question happened with 4:53 left in the 1st quarter. They won't let me link to the highlights in this post.

However, according to the definition of Fumble in the NFL Rule Book, it is not a fumble. The definition is as follows, "fumble is an act (other than pass or kick) that results in a player's loss of possession of the ball or his failure to handle a ball which has been properly centered to him." The rule book states also that the meaning of "improperly centered" is that "that the ball does not reach the intended receiver of the snap within the frame of his body or arm -span;" On the play in question the ball does not reach the intended receiver of the snap before hitting the ground and therefore, it should not be ruled a fumble. I lost a tiebreaker in my league to make playoffs by 0.4 points. Correcting this mistake would change this outcome. I have called and messaged Elias on the issues, thus far to no avail. What do you guys think?

We only use official NFL stats. If there's an official correction, we'll process it.

How does Fleaflicker account for official NFL stat changes during the week?

The NFL issues official changes to the previous week's games every Thursday. If such a change affects your league, Fleaflicker will automatically re-score the previous week's games on Thursday at 4 AM ET. Any changes announced by the NFL after Thursday are not automatically applied your league (this seldom happens). However, commissioners can always manually edit box scores at any time. Official stat changes are applied only to head-to-head leagues at this time.

If any fantasy matchup outcome is affected by the stat changes, your league will be automatically alerted. You can also see the exact stat changes for any prior weeks by navigating to Scores » Stat Changes.

Note: Commissioners can opt out of stat changes by going to League » Settings » Edit Tiebreak Rules » Retroactively apply official stat changes and selecting No.
