In Dynasty, our leagues typically have a (4) round rookie only draft each May.

It would be handy if Fleaflicker could make it possible for us to draft RB lies directly into the Taxi Squad.

Hello!

This is something we are hoping to add. In the meantime, we'd recommend the following steps to set up your rookie (Taxi) draft:

1) Go to League > Settings > Edit Roster Requirements > Custom and edit the Taxi settings to allow it to be set to "Everyone" temporarily if you currently have it set to "Rookies only"

2) Instruct your owners to each move any 4 keepers to the Taxi Squad (or you can do this for them using League > Settings > Set Starting Lineups)

3) Go to League > Settings > Configure Draft and in the Count players on Taxi Squad section, choose "No, putting players on the Taxi Squad should free up draft picks" (you can also restrict the draft to rookies only on this settings screen)

4) Ensure your owners have all of their keepers set before the draft (including the 4 in Taxi) and then you can set up and run your rookie draft

5) After the draft completes, owners can swap their rookies with their keepers (and once this is done, you can switch the restriction back to "Rookies only" if desired at League > Settings > Edit Roster Requirements > Custom)

Hope this helps!

Ty for the reply. Hope you add this feature sooner than later.

The above option that you provided is what we are having to to, but it doesn't really work that well.

In our Dynasty leagues, we have lower allowable maximum players for each position, and moving vets and rookies in and out of the taxi squad causes issues.

I'll chime in here and add interest for this.

Additionally it would be great to restrict moving players back into the taxi squad once the season started. The idea being that your rookies sit there until you activate them and once they have been activated you can't put them back there, therefore making it a spot for prospects but not extending the bench that way.

you mean give us the option to restrict them my league we can move them back and froth as we please sort of like a farm system

but only rookies, second and third year players are allowed well for tight ends I give them 4 years but yea I do have a system set in place

Hey FleaflickerT- Instead of waiting for the whole league to set keepers, can't the commissioner change the draft settings to 'treat all players on rosters as keepers'? And then when the draft is over couldn't you also change TAXI eligibility without waiting for owners to put rookies on the TAXI? They would have illegal rosters until they did so, correct? Then owners wouldn't have to make cuts before the draft because commish could wait to 'clear non-keepers' until just before the season starts. This might work best in a rookie-only draft and you would also have to add additional keepers for the rookies who were drafted before non-keepers are cut.

I agree on all of this. The workaround is fine but causes a ton of work for the commissioner (constantly having to hound leaguemates as I can't switch it back until everyone is within the new limit after the workaround). One thing that could alleviate the workaround in the meantime would be, as noted above, to allow the commissioner to change roster limits, taxi restrictions, etc. whenever, regardless of whether everyone is within those limits, and have those rosters simply be illegal and incapable of scoring. Instead of me having to hound my leaguemates and explain the workaround, they would have clear guidance as to how to make their illegal roster legal.

I also agree with Nemo_Barbarossa above that it would be great to have more parameters around the taxi players (locked for the year, locked with the ability to move them to active roster only after paying x amount of waiver dollars, etc.). I don't mean to be repetitive: just wanted to chime in with my support for the above.
