We have a league of 12 and we have about 8 people live and 4 online. What is the best way for me as the commisioner to conduct draft. Last year I ran into the problem of running out of pauses or pause time. Something like that. What is my best option?

Thanks

I'm looking into this also. The best I've found is the offline tool that ESPN uses. It looks like you just enter the stuff as commish manually. I may just write my own using Excel though... Trouble is I'm trying to do an auction draft off/on line

Nevermind, I wasn't as happy with this option as I thought I'd be.

I did read a post further down that recommended pushing pause right away in the clock and if that was missed to undo the results. Did that not work right last year?

You can run the live draft and pause it right away (you can always undo the last pick), but you do run into the issue of using up your 60 minutes of cumulative pause time.

I would recommend using the e-mail draft option here.

Use the email draft option here...The live draft will work but you would have to pause it way too much and probably undo picks for players who can't make a selection as the computer will pick it for them after 5 seconds in the live applet (pausing is hard here).

Instructions for the email draft:

Simple: Players log in and go to the Players section and just hit Draft when they are up. Or Commish hits Commish Draft for player in player section. Players get e-mailed an update on the status.

Here is the long-winded version w/ screenshots:

Select this option at Commish Options>E-mail draft (starting now)

To draft players for a team, just sign onto your account and all you will do is go to the Players tab, hit Commish Draft, and draft for each team and the player they want.

If for any reason you make the wrong pick, have that owner log in and cut the player (you can cut the last player in a slow draft).

We definitely suggest using that method of drafting. It's slower, more fun, and you can see the whole draft board this way. If you want I can create you a test league so you can test this out so you can be perfectly sure of what you're doing come draft day.

The slow draft will also show rankings, so you should be all set. You can open up a draftboard too that shows the draft order of where people are being drafted. I can send you screenshots of everything as well if you contact our staff at fleaflicker.com

if you could set up a test league that would be great.

Thanks

I just created a test league and the email draft sounds good.
