AOL Transition Complete

FFCSR_Doug 7/11/2008
We are excited to announce that all AOL members (season 2004 – 2007) have been migrated to Fleaflicker. Now that you are a Fleaflicker player what are some of the features you can expect.

* A streamlined site dedicated to free and easy set up
* Easy to sort player rankings
* Free live scoring
* Free use of the draft room
* Extremely customizable scoring, rosters and league rules
* An accessible support staff

If you don't see your leagues on the homepage, it probably means you're not using the same AOL account or E-mail address on Fleaflicker as you did on AOL last season.

Please make sure you use the same account (e.g., if you used the AOL screen name JohnDoe11 last year on AOL, you must use that same id on Fleaflicker).

The migration of AOL legacy players was a large technical undertaking and if you spot any issues don’t hesitate to report them.

You are also encouraged to post suggestions on improving the site and feel free to contact us if you have any questions. fleaflicker.com

Thank you.

Sorry that you are having troubles. We will look into it. You did not have multiple AOL accounts by any chance did you?

hbgdevildog 7/21/2008

It is possible, but I have been using the same one for at least the last 3-4yrs ........ I would not even know what the older ones would be anymore .......

LOL it doesnt really matter how the transittion is for AOL to Fleaflicker because it looks like Yahoo will be buying AOL. So soon we will just be Yahoo. Doesn't that just suck.

I think this is just Yahoo's way of fighting off Microsoft, and I don't see it happening. Those talks started back up when???? In February. And Microsoft could still come in and get in the way and don't forget about Google. I think in the end Google is going to come out with Yahoo or even Microsoft. JMHO

It doesn't seem like the "invite" is working for my leagues. I sent two teams invites and both said they did not receive it.

I tested in on myself, using a different e-mail address tham my team and that did not get thru either.

One invite was in Vance League and the other was the Covanta league.

Tell the owners to make sure their fleaflicker account have the right email address. Tell them to click account settings and check the email address that is under that account.

It a brand new owner, they are not recieving the link from fleaflicker after I invite them. They e-mailed me a little while ago and still have not recieved.

Have them check their spam mail. I know a few of the people I invited thought they didn't get invites, because they ended up in the spam folder.

It wasn't there, but I was able to work around it by pasting in the info on the bottom of the invite (got this suggestion on the Support Message Board).

Thanks for the interest.

Hello. My name is Tony and I'm a commissioner on fleaflicker having the same issue your wrote about. Did you ever get it resolved? I'm still needing for two invited owners to actually receive their invitations. If you have any advice, please contact me at capilliams@aol.com. Thank you.

I post some items on our league's boards & I checked the box to e-mail everyone, but no e-mail was sent out.

The issue is still being worked out and should not be too much longer.

I have a team (Lake Flies) in my BuFL league that needs to be tweaked. His old AOL log-in made the migration but not the AOL log-in that was used for the team last year.

Detelt him as an owner and then re-invite him. If he doesn't get the invite info, look at my suggestion above on the "invite topic".

Several teams in my league are listed as inactive, with the last log in 2 years ago, even though all were active last year. I do not believe these "inactive" owners have access to our league. Other teams are active and can be accessed by their owners. Is this something Fleaflicker has to address or do the owners need to rejoin somehow?

I think that means they havnt signed in on fleaflicker yet and activated their AOL Accounts. I might be wrong idk. Thats just my guess

ReplyLinkParent
TheCommish 7/12/2008
That's what I thought at first, but some of the teams listed as active show their last visit as 9 months ago. They haven't visited the new site, but are shown as being active.

A member of my league "merrill1950" gets a message that they gut a bug and that an email has been sent to the administrator.

How will this be fixed? And when will that user be able to access the league?

Thanks for reporting it, it's been fixed.

Please ask him to try again and sorry for the confusion.

My owners emails/usernames are not displayed correctly in the home page. How do I ensure everyone gets in?

ReplyLink
fleafounder Fleaflicker Admin 7/11/2008
The usernames are autogenerated, they easily edit them under "my account settings".

E-mails are never displayed anywhere on the site.

If the other owners sign in to Fleaflicker using the same AOL account as last season, they'll see the teams and be given the option to edit their names.

Thanks! But does email ALL work?

Unfortunately not all owners remember the AOL account they used last year. (They were automatically logged in via the "favorites" link into AOL. Looks like I have to delete and readd everone. What happens to their history when I delete a team?
