Jonathan Bernier will return to Staples Center for the first time as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night.
Bernier was drafted by the Kings with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 draft and dealt to the Leafs this past spring. "For me to be back where I started my career it's going to be a lot of fun," he said. :I'm excited. (I'm) going to be a bit nervous, but it's going to be a fun game. I'm going to enjoy it." Bernier has been bombarded with shots in Toronto, but he has been spectacular when he's faced plenty of rubber. He leads the NHL with 19 wins in games where he's made 30 stops or more this season.

"We should stay away from hockey for a little bit. You can come (to the rink) if you want, but I don't think anyone will. I'm sure there will be a gym somewhere," he said after Saturday's contest. "We'll have a week of practice (before a Feb. 27 game against the Islanders), so I'm not too worried about (rusty reflexes). The first two days will be hard, but after that things will come back slowly."
