Scott Hannan will probably get the nod over rookie Matt Tennyson to play Wednesday night in Game 1 against Vancouver.

"We will have to make that decision still," said coach Todd McLellan. "Come game time, we'll still be making it. We'll look at what their lineup is like throughout warmup. We have an idea, but we're not sure. We'll go with an inexperienced puck-mover, or we'll go with a ton of experience." Hannan appeared to be the team's choice judging from the morning skate and he would make sense given his experience.

Scott Hannan played in his first game with San Jose since being acquired from the Nashville Predators at the April 3 deadline.

Hannan had been dealing with a neck injury. He had a plus-one rating in 17:39 minutes to help San Jose earn a 3-2 shootout victory on Tuesday.

Hannan was originally drafted 23rd overall by the Sharks in 1997. He played for San Jose from 1998-2007. He returns to the Sharks after making stops in Colorado, Washington, Calgary and Nashville. He is not a fantasy relevant defenseman, he has just one assist in 29 games this year.
