Weber (undisclosed) won't dress for Sunday's game against Winnipeg, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Weber was only able to play for 1:40 against Minnesota on Saturday before he was forced to exit the match, and hasn't healed up enough to give it a go for the second half of Nashville's back-to-back road trip, but his absence is listed as a maintenance day. Tuesday against Minnesota is the 29-year-old's next chance to return, and he'll look to improve upon the five points (two goals, three assists) he's posted in 47 games in 2017-18.

Weber did not come out for the start of the second period, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Weber left the game during the first period after a hard hit from Marcus Foligno and apparently won't be returning. The defender sat out the previous two outings as a healthy scratch -- a role he has found himself relegated to for much of the season. The 29-year-old was unlikely to stay in the lineup heading into the playoffs, as Alexei Emelin figures to slot back onto the blue line.

Weber recorded an assist in just 9:58 of ice time in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Now with just five points in 39 games this season, Weber just doesn't play enough to post the kind of numbers that would give him any degree of fantasy relevance. That said, Tuesday marked the 12th time in the past 13 games Weber has found himself in the lineup, but given his low minutes and third-pairing status, an offensive breakout is likely not on the horizon.

Weber, frequently a healthy scratch this season, played his sixth consecutive game Saturday against the Canadiens. He did not factor into the scoring but fired five shots on goal in 11:12 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
With just three points in 32 games this season, Weber should obviously not be on anyone's fantasy radar. He has been in and out of the Preds' lineup with regularity this season, competing with Matt Irwin and Anthony Bitetto for a spot on the third defensive pairing opposite Alexei Emelin. Weber appears to have the upper hand right now in that regard, but we don't expect that to continue indefinitely.

Weber signed a two-year contract extension with the Predators worth $650,000 in 2018-19 and $700,000 in 2019-20
EDGE Analysis
The signing of Weber, as well as that of Matt Irwin and Anthony Bitetto, shores up the foundation of the Nashville defense for at least the next season or two and is a nice low-risk move. The Swiss national won't do much for you in terms of fantasy production, but he's definitely a mainstay with the Preds.

Weber served as a healthy scratch Saturday against the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
After playing the previous 11 games -- and scoring just a single point over that span -- it was finally Weber's turn to ride the pine, as coach Peter Laviolette decided to go with Matt Irwin and Anthony Bitetto on the third defensive pairing. Weber has been in and out of the Preds' lineup all season, playing in just 23 of 38 games thus far, making him for a risky fantasy play in all formats.

Weber (lower body) will return to the lineup against the Bruins on Monday, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Weber will suit up following a 10-game absence due to his lower-body malady. The defenseman has notched a pair of helpers in his previous four outings prior to getting hurt after starting out the season with an eight-game pointless streak. Even when in the lineup, the Switzerland native is averaging a mere 11:14 of ice time, which will limit his opportunities to get on the scoresheet.

Weber (lower body) was able to skate with his teammates Tuesday, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
The level of rigor in Weber's skating session is unclear, but it's nonetheless a step in the right direction. Back on Nov. 14, the Swiss defenseman was given a 2-4 week timetable for his return, and he's approaching the earlier end of the ETA. Either way, Weber's only cleared 20 points in one season (2014-15) of his career, making his status rather unimportant for fantasy owners.

Weber (lower body) was placed on injured reserve with a return timetable of 2-to-4 weeks Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
There's obviously no good time for a player to sustain an injury, but this is particularly unfortunate for Weber since he had stormed into November with a two-game point streak and a plus-3 rating over the last four contests. Expect to see a lot more of Anthony Bietto and Matt Irwin on the third defensive pair.

Weber has been declared "out right now" by head coach Pete Laviolette with a lower-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Weber has not missed a game yet with this injury, although he was limited to 8:08 of ice time in Saturday's game against the Penguins. This certainly makes it sound like Weber will miss Tuesday's game with the Capitals.
