Ty Wishart has agreed to a contract with the Schwenninger Wild Wings of Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga. In 62 games with AHL Bridgeport last season, Wishart accounted for 24 points and 32 penalty minutes. He was drafted 16th overall in 2006 by San Jose, but he has appeared in just 26 NHL contests in his career.

Ty Wishart was claimed off waivers by NYI on Friday January 18.

Ty Wishart has been placed on waivers by the Islanders. The club made the move so that they could make room for Joe Finley, who they picked up off waivers from Buffalo this morning, at training camp. Wishart has recorded seven points in 31 games with AHL Bridgeport this campaign.

Ty Wishart has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the New York Islanders. Wishart had 19 points and 32 penalty minutes in 71 AHL games last season. He also appeared in a single game with the New York Islanders, bringing him up to 26 career NHL games.

Ty Wishart has been sent back to AHL Bridgeport. He made his season debut with the Islanders on Feb. 16 against St. Louis after skating in 20 games with the big club last season.

The New York Islanders have promoted Ty Wishart. Wishart has four goals and 15 points in 48 AHL games this season. He has six points in 25 career NHL contests.

The New York Islanders are expected to place five players on waivers Wednesday, including defenseman Ty Wishart. Forwards Tomas Marcinko, Trevor Frischmon and Tim Wallace as well as blueliner defensemen Dylan Reese will join him as cuts. They are projected to head for AHL Bridgeport if they clear.
