Ty Conklin has joined the St. Louis Blues as their goaltending development coach. Conklin bounced around the NHL and at times he was a superb backup. He finished with a 2.69 GAA and .906 save percentage in 215 career games. He'll help develop the Blues' goaltenders in AHL Chicago.

Ty Conklin was signed by DET on Friday January 18.

Ty Conklin kicked out 27 of 31 shots in a 4-2 loss Wednesday night. Conklin allowed two goals in each of the second and third periods. He has been filling in while Jimmy Howard deals with a groin injury.

Ty Conklin allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Red Wings' 7-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets Monday night. Conklin did a good job of not falling asleep tonight against the lowly Blue Jackets due to the lack of action on his end of the ice. Jimmy Howard (groin) faced shots again during Monday's morning practice and hopes to be back between the pipes Friday night against the Nashville.

Ty Conklin will be between the pipes for Detroit on Monday night when the Red Wings host Columbus. It will mark his third straight start as Jimmy Howard continues to recover from a groin problem. Conklin owns a 4-5-1 record with an .882 save percentage and a 3.32 goals-against average in 13 games with Detroit his season.

Ty Conklin kicked out 20 of 24 shots in a 5-4 victory Saturday. Conklin allowed three goals on 11 shots in the second period. This is another rough start for him in what has been a disappointing season.

Ty Conklin will start in Saturday's game. Conklin is the Red Wings' de facto number one starter while both Jimmy Howard and Joey MacDonald are sidelined. Conklin has a 3.25 GAA and .886 save percentage in 12 games this season.

Ty Conklin allowed two goals on 34 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Rangers Wednesday. With both Jimmy Howard and Joey MacDonald nursing injuries, Conklin is the stopgap netminder in Detroit for the short-term. Prior to this game, he had not played since February 4th.

Ty Conklin will be between the pipes for Detroit on Wednesday after he cleared re-entry waivers this afternoon. Jordan Pearce will serve as his backup, with number one goalie Jimmy Howard out with a groin injury and number two option Joey MacDonald sidelined with a back ailment. Conklin's last appearance in the NHL came on Feb. 4 against Edmonton.

The Red Wings have recalled Ty Conklin on an emergency basis from Grand Rapids of the AHL. The goaltender must clear re-entry waivers. With Jimmy Howard's groin once again causing the goaltender problems, the Red Wings need to get another goalie to New York for Wednesday's game against the Rangers. Conklin, 36 on March 30, needs to clear re-entry waivers before he can report and serve as Joey MacDonald's backup. Conklin is 3-5-0 with a 3.40 GAA and .878 save percentage in 11 games with the Red Wings this season.
