Teemu Selanne won't play in Saturday's match-up against Vancouver. The 43-year-old winger doesn't play in back-to-back situations. Selanne has two goals and three assists in his past six appearances and 25 points on the year.

Teemu Selanne has returned to the second line after a stint with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Selanne will now play alongside Patrick Maroon and Mathieu Perreault. This move is a significant blow to Selanne's fantasy value.

Teemu Selanne is heating up now that he's been put on the Ducks' first line with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Selanne has two goals and four points in his last four games. He's logged over 15 minutes in each of those contests, which is up from his average of 14:05 minutes per game in 2013-14. "I think it's totally different when you get solid shifts and you're out there all the time," Selanne said. "It's a different game. That's how I have always played, all 20 years pretty much. I'm enjoying every shift there." He should finish the campaign on a high note if that line stays intact.

Teemu Selanne scored his ninth of the season Sunday. Selanne turns 44 in July and this is his last season in the NHL but he is still capable of turning it on as was seen at the Olympics last month where he was named to the first all-star team. Selanne added an assist as well on Sunday and now has 24 points this season. He is a fringe fantasy player but is worth picking up in playoff pools if you think the Ducks are going deep into the post-season.

Future Hall of Famer Teemu Selanne did not participate in his team's 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings Saturday night. The Ducks' 43-year-old luminary, who turned in a good game as a first-line left winger Friday night (instead of his usual role as right winger), has sat out the back end of several back-to-back sets this season, and that was the case again Saturday night.

Teemu Selanne skated as a first-line left winger Friday night and had an assist. Selanne, he of 1,440 games played and 682 goals, has been a right winger throughout his career. He wasn't thrilled with the idea, but Anaheim has struggled to find the third piece to the line with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. "Every time when you have a chance to play with those two guys, it's fun," Selanne said. "I haven't had a chance to do that for years pretty much. Those guys are unbelievable players. Hopefully we can do well." Selanne has seven goals and 21 points and a stay on this line should only help him as the season winds down.

Teemu Selanne refused to answer a question about whether or not he deserves more ice time. At the age of 43, Selanne is averaging just 14:58 minutes per game with Anaheim. However, he played a far bigger role with Finland and excelled, winning the MVP award for the tournament. While he wouldn't say whether or not he feels he deserves more ice time, he has said that he has accepted his role. It's also worth noting that the Olympics were more of a sprint while the NHL season is an endurance run, so part of the motivation for the Ducks limiting his ice time has probably come from a desire not to wear him out before the playoffs.

Teemu Selanne didn't practice on Wednesday as he rests up following the 2014 Winter Games. Selanne was named the MVP of the Olympic men's hockey tournament after becoming the oldest male player to ever win an Olympic medal. He was Finland's captain during the event and had four goals and six points in six games. "It was a great way to finish my national team career," said Selanne. "Now I'm back here, and it's also a good feeling. We have a great team here, and we have a mission. Hopefully the break will be good for our players. They can regroup and be ready for that last push. It's gonna be fun." This will be his last season, but the Ducks are in a position to make it a very memorable exit. Although it would be a stretch to call them the favorites to win the Stanley Cup, they're certainly a serious contender.

Teemu Selanne was thrilled with his 2014 Olympic Games as the 43-year-old played in his sixth and final Olympic Games. Selanne ended his Olympic career with four medals including one silver and three bronze. "Twenty-six years ago I played my first national team game," Selanne said "and it's been a great journey so far, and this is a great ending. This has been a great journey. It gives me a very proud feeling, but it's sad also because it just creates unbelievable memories, great memories. Some huge disappointments, too. But that's how life goes. Those disappointments make you make sure that when you get some good moments you appreciate those and you can enjoy. What a great ending". Selanne ends his career as the all-time leading scorer in Olympic history with 24 goals and 43 points.
