Nash woke up "a little sore" Tuesday and was thus given a maintenance day by the Rangers, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, the plan is for Nash to skate Wednesday, and assuming no issues at that time, the forward should be available for the Rangers' evening tilt against the Bruins.

Nash went minus-1 with a shot on goal and two hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
That's four consecutive games off the scoresheet for Nash since returning from a knee injury, but this one was particularly noteworthy for Nash going almost fully incognito. The 31-year-old winger is working on his worst season since his 2002-03 rookie campaign as his gradual slide into infirmity continues. That isn't to say that fantasy owners can't get anything more out of Nash, but he's borne precious little resemblance to the guy who scored 42 goals last year.

Nash (knee) will return to the lineup Saturday afternoon against the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran sniper will get back to work following a 20-game injury layoff, stepping right back into a top-six role. He's likely to be centered by Eric Staal, a long-time captain of the Hurricanes who recently came over to the Blueshirts via a trade. Nash has 33 points in 45 games this season but he's disappointed on the power play, having collected just six points in such situations in 2015-16.

Nash (knee) may return to the lineup Saturday against the Red Wings, Pat Steinberg of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sidelined since Jan. 24 with the knee injury, the veteran winger will be welcomed back to the team's top six with open arms. The lines have change a bit since he last played, so it's difficult to know exactly where he will slot in, but Nash will certainly add some potency (33 points in 45 games) to a lineup already averaging 3.00 goals per game over four March contests. Expect another update on game day, but it certainly seems s though Nash's return is just around the corner.

Nash (knee) has been put on injured reserve by the Rangers, according to the NHL's official media page.
EDGE Analysis
Nash has missed 19 contests but was recently described as day-to-day by coach Alain Vigneault and has begun participating in practices, albeit with a non-contact jersey. It is a good sign that the 31-year-old could be ready to return soon. New York will want to get the winger into some games before the playoffs to get his conditioning back. In terms a fantasy value, while it may take some time to shake the rust off, Nash should return to his pre-injury form in which he tallied 33 points in 45 outings this season.

Coach Alain Vigneault indicated Monday that Nash's (knee) status is now day-to-day rather than week-to-week, and Nash hasn't ruled out a return Saturday against the Red Wings, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nash reportedly skated with a non-contact jersey at practice Monday, his first with his teammates since suffering the injury Jan. 22 against the Hurricanes. He'll need to shed that non-contact status during the week if there's to be any chance of him playing Saturday. He appears more of a long shot than teammate Henrik Lundqvist (neck), who expects to return for the tilt with the Red Wings, but look for further updates on Nash as he closes in on a return.

Coach Alain Vigneault relayed Sunday that Nash (knee) could begin practicing with the Rangers sometime this coming week.
EDGE Analysis
While the report does not outline a firm timetable for the return of Nash, the forward skated Sunday morning, confirming that he is progressing in the right direction after having last suited up in a game back on Jan. 22.

Nash (knee) skated Thursday for the first time in over a month and said he hopes to return in 10-to-14 days, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gross added that Nash rode a stationary bike and then "skated gingerly" in a 15-minute solo session. The star winger is in Pittsburgh with his team scheduled to play the Penguins on Thursday night, but obviously he won't play in that game, as his injury layoff extends to 17 games. When asked about his return timetable, Nash said, "The big thing now is hopefully there are no setbacks." Nash hasn't been in the lineup since Jan. 22, but the Blueshirts have gone 11-4-1 without the sniper.

Coach Alain Vigneault indicated Wednesday that Nash (knee) "should be back with the team in 10 days to two weeks."
EDGE Analysis
Nash's return will certainly provide an offensive boost for the Rangers upon returning, and now it appears a potential end date has been set. The veteran made his mark prior to suffering the injury in late January (12 goals, 21 assists), and projects to slot back in alongside Chris Kreider and Derek Stepan again when healthy. Expect further updates on his status when Nash nears a return to the lineup.

Nash (knee) underwent an MRI on Thursday that turned up clean, but he remains 7-to-10 days from resuming lower-body exercises, and further away from skating, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran winger remains without a definite timetable for return, but considering he won't begin skating for at least a little while, a mid-March return may be optimistic at this point. The team should further update Nash's status as he continues to progress, but his absence certainly leaves a bit of a void in the team's top six.
