Parenteau (upper body) is available for Game 3, but he'll be a healthy scratch against the Senators. Parenteau practiced Saturday, but wasn't expected to play Sunday. While that is indeed the case, there's injury behind it any longer. Over the course of 56 games with the club this season, the winger has tallied 22 points, but it's not enough to keep him from being a borderline player every game.

Parenteau (upper body) participated in the Canadiens' morning skate on Saturday, NHL.com's Arpon Basu reports. Parenteau was held out of Friday's Game 2 against the Senators with an upper body injury, but appears to be nearing a return to game action. He's still day-to-day with the injury, but has a legitimate shot at returning to the Habs' lineup for Game 3 of their series with Ottawa on Sunday.

Parenteau (upper body) will not play Friday, Jessica Rusnak of TSN 690 in Montreal reports. Parenteau did not take part in practice Thursday after playing 12:13 in Wednesday's Game 1 victory over the Senators. His injury is unknown at this time, but look for an update on his status prior to Game 3 on Sunday.

Parenteau is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Parenteau did not practice Thursday, which clouds his availability for Friday's game against the Sens, but on the plus side, from Montreal's perspective, is that there appears to be a solid chance that Max Pacioretty could be available for the contest.

Parenteau had a goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-1 over Florida. He has three points in the last three games. Remember when Parenteau started the season with five points in the first five games? And we were thinking Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin swindled Colorado? Well, that production didn't sustain itself and since that heady start, Parenteau has 17 points in the next 49 games. He's been inconsistent when healthy and shuffled through the lines. He's currently on the Habs' top line.

Parenteau set up Tom Gilbert's second-period goal in Thursday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Capitals. Parenteau has found his way back into the lineup after often serving as a healthy scratch during the early part of March, but he's still not producing at anywhere close to the level of him prime years with the Islanders. The winger has just 20 points in 52 games, and is poised to finish with a decline in scoring for the fourth straight season. Don't expect to see much improvement in his numbers next season, as he's already 32 years old.

Parenteau scored a goal in Monday night's 4-2 loss to the Lightning. It was Parenteau's seventh goal of the season and just his first since Nov. 28 against Buffalo. Of course, he missed a good deal of time dealing with a couple of concussions early in this calendar year. Parenteau said he's feeling more comfortable after his lengthy absence during January and February.

Parenteau had an assist in Saturday night's 3-1 win over the Islanders. It was his first point since Dec. 23. The long stretch of point futility is due to Parenteau having to deal with two separate concussions, but he's back now skating as a top-6 forward on a line with Tomas Plekanec and Alex Galchenyuk. The three combined on a nice tic-tac-toe play resulting in Plekanec's first-period goal Saturday. He also played more than three minutes on the power play. He's not a must-play, but he's skating with some talented players.

Parenateau returned to the lineup Thursday after being a healthy scratch for four games. He had zero shots on net and was minus-1 in 16:34 in a 5-2 loss to Ottawa. In activating Parenteau, head coach Michel Therrien was hoping to spark an anemic offense that's tallied just eight goals in the past six games.
