The Maple Leafs signed Parenteau to a one-year deal on Wednesday, TSN.ca reports.

Parenteau, whose contract was bought out by the Habs, notched 22 points in 56 games for Montreal last season. He'll look to bounce back with the Leafs and if he secures a more prominent role with his new team -- a plausible outcome -- the 32-year-old forward is capable of a bounce-back in 2015-16.

Should Parenteau clear waivers, he will be bought out by the Canadiens with just one year remaining on his contract. He was due $4 million dollars next season and recorded eight goals and 14 assists in 56 games for Montreal last season.

Parenteau scored his first goal of the postseason in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Lightning. It was the game winner.

He really struggled this year and was a healthy scratch for a good chunk of March. So it was nice to see him get the game-winning marker on a perfect shot off the crossbar and in. He has a point in each of his last two games.

Parenteau is slated to play Sunday against the Senators.

Parenteau, who suffered an an upper body injury in Game 1 of the Habs' series against Ottawa, will return to the team's forward mix Sunday after being a healthy scratch for Games 4 and 5. Parenteau -- who notched 22 points and 30 PIM in 56 game for Montreal this past season -- could see power play action Sunday, with the Habs looking for a boost on that front, having converted just once in 19 man-advantage opportunities in the series thus far.

Parenteau (upper body) is available for Game 3, but he'll be a healthy scratch against the Senators.

Parenteau practiced Saturday, but wasn't expected to play Sunday. While that is indeed the case, there's injury behind it any longer. Over the course of 56 games with the club this season, the winger has tallied 22 points, but it's not enough to keep him from being a borderline player every game.

Parenteau (upper body) participated in the Canadiens' morning skate on Saturday, NHL.com's Arpon Basu reports.

Parenteau was held out of Friday's Game 2 against the Senators with an upper body injury, but appears to be nearing a return to game action. He's still day-to-day with the injury, but has a legitimate shot at returning to the Habs' lineup for Game 3 of their series with Ottawa on Sunday.

Parenteau is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Parenteau did not practice Thursday, which clouds his availability for Friday's game against the Sens, but on the plus side, from Montreal's perspective, is that there appears to be a solid chance that Max Pacioretty could be available for the contest.

Parenteau had a goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-1 over Florida. He has three points in the last three games.

Remember when Parenteau started the season with five points in the first five games? And we were thinking Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin swindled Colorado? Well, that production didn't sustain itself and since that heady start, Parenteau has 17 points in the next 49 games. He's been inconsistent when healthy and shuffled through the lines. He's currently on the Habs' top line.
