Lindberg inked a one-year deal with KHL side Dynamo Moscow on Friday.

Lindberg spent the 2019-20 campaign with Zug EV in the Swiss League, where he racked up 14 goals and 16 helpers in 46 outings. The 28-year-old will spend another year away from the NHL after having previously split the 2018-19 season between Vegas and Ottawa. Including a stint with the Rangers, the winger has appeared in 252 NHL contests in which he tallied 79 points and 117 PIM. If he can put together a strong season in the KHL next year, the 2010 second-round pick could make his way back to North America.

Lindberg drew into 55 NHL contests with the Golden Knights and Senators in 2018-19, notching nine goals and 20 points over that span. The 27-year-old likely could have secured a one-year deal with an NHL club for the 2019-20 campaign, but he probably would have had to settle for a bottom-six gig -- an option which evidently wasn't as attractive as the promise of a major role with a Swiss team.

Lindberg had the primary assist on Anthony DuClair's opening goal in a 4-2 win over Toronto on Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

Lindberg is now up to seven points in 15 games, easily the best showing he's had in any of his three locations. He's still not a great option in most fantasy formats, but he could be a value play in daily leagues when you need someone cheap, as he's likely to go for a low price and seems to be trying to close the year strong and set himself up for free agency.

Lindberg scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Canucks.

EDGE Analysis

Lindberg has settled in fairly well with the Senators since being part of the return in the Mark Stone trade. Lindberg has five goals on 13 shots in 11 games since the trade. While no player is capable of shooting 38.4 percent over a large sample size, it's a positive showing for the pending free agent. For the year, he has 17 points (nine goals, eight helpers) in 46 contests, which isn't enough to help in most fantasy formats.

Lindberg is heading to Ottawa along with Erik Brannstrom in exchange for Mark Stone, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

EDGE Analysis

This might be a case of the Senators absorbing a contract to make the deal work for both sides, as Lindberg is a free agent at the end of the season, with Brannstrom the Senators' real prize. With 10 points in 31 games, things aren't likely to get a lot better for Lindberg on a roster that's now essentially devoid of stars.

Lindberg has just two goals and nine points in 2018-19.

EDGE Analysis

The Swedish winger has two of his nine points in the month of January, but for the most part, Lindberg has been easy to miss this season. The 27-year-old's shooting percentage of 4.2 is a career-low mark, as Lindberg has been unable to convert on scoring chances when they've found him. As of now, outside of deeper formats, Lindberg should not be on your fantasy roster.

Lindberg has served as a healthy scratch for the Golden Knights last seven games.

EDGE Analysis

In the six games in which Lindberg was in the lineup, he got some looks on the power play (1:39 per game), but is still searching for his first point of the 2018-19 campaign. Once Erik Haula (lower body) or Paul Stastny (undisclosed) are cleared to return, Lindberg could be headed down to AHL Chicago.

Lindberg scored twice in Saturday's 5-4 preseason home win over the Sharks.

EDGE Analysis

Vegas GM George McPhee has assembled a top-six forward group chock-full of established scorers, so Lindberg will likely have to settle for a bottom-six assignment after producing a mere 11 points and minus-11 rating over 63 games with Vegas in 2017-18. It's also conceivable that he'll frequent the press box during the regular season if he happens to hit the skids late in training camp.

Lindberg (undisclosed) will rejoin the lineup Wednesday against the Coyotes, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.

EDGE Analysis

Coach Gerard Gallant suggested earlier in the day that there was a good chance we would see Lindberg back in the lineup Wednesday after he missed 14 consecutive games and that is indeed the case. He will slot in alongside Cody Eakin and Ryan Reaves, taking the place of David Perron in the lineup.

Lindberg (undisclosed) has a "good chance" of playing Wednesday night against the visiting Coyotes, according to Vegas coach Gerard Gallant, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.
