Rozsival (upper body) will be available for Saturday's game against the Predators, NHL.com's Brian Hedger reports. It's not certain that Rozsival will return to the lineup Saturday for his season debut, but the demotion of Kyle Cumiskey to AHL Rockford suggests that Rozsival is healthy. The veteran blueliner appeared in 42 games last season, posting a goal and seven assists.

Rozsival (upper body) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Flames, CSN's Tracey Myers reports. Rozsival will miss another game Wednesday, but he was able to practice both Monday and Tuesday, so it appears a return to action -- possibly this weekend -- is not far off.

Rozsival (upper body) practiced with the team Monday, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports. With two more days to recover, it's probably safe to assume Rozsival will be back in the lineup Wednesday against the Flames. Rozsival's return will probably leave David Rundblad as the odd man out on the blue line, since rookie Trevor van Riemsdyk has been impressive so far.

Rozsival (upper body) will not be available for Saturday's game against the Sabres, Brian Hedger of NHL.com reports. Coach Joel Quenneville said that Rozsival is targeting a return to action at some point next week. The blueliner has been skating at practice while he's been held out, so he does seem to be making visible progress.

Rozsival (upper body) skated on his own before Wednesday's practice, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports. Rozsival has already been ruled out of Thursday's regular-season opener versus the Stars, but the Blackhawks will reevaluate him on Friday and see if he'll be able to give it a go against the Sabres over the weekend. David Rundblad will occupy Rozsival's spot on defense Thursday night.

Rozsival (upper body) is expected to miss Thursday's season opener against the Stars, Tracey Myers of CSNChicago.com reports. Rozsival hasn't resumed skating since suffering the upper-body injury last week, meaning he may need to sit out the first game or two for the Blackhawks before he's back at full speed. Coach Joel Quenneville noted that Rozsival will not need to go on injured reserve, and with seven other healthy blue liners on the roster, the Blackhawks should be able to manage just fine without him.

Rozsival is nursing an upper-body injury and could miss about a week. Rozsival served primarily as a seventh defenseman for the Blackhawks last season, so the team can probably afford to get by without his services until he returns to full health. He's expected to operate in a similar capacity this season, making it tough to extract much fantasy value from him.

Michal Rozsival recorded an assist in a 4-3 loss to Los Angeles on Saturday. Rozsival has a goal and five points in 13 postseason contests. He also has a minus-one rating so far in the playoffs and one of just five Chicago players to have a negative rating after playing in at least 10 contests.

The Chicago Blackhawks will see a slight lineup tweak as Michal Rozsival replaces Sheldon Brookbank on defense. The Los Angeles Kings are likely to push Chicago as much as anyone can starting with Game 1 on Sunday, so it makes sense that the 'Hawks are making changes even coming off a victory. This shouldn't have big fantasy implications, though.

Michal Rozsival was a healthy scratch Sunday night in Game 5. He earned an assist and had a minus-1 rating in Friday's 4-2 loss. His penalty for closing his hand on the puck also led to Minnesota's fourth goal of the match early in the third period. Rozsival has also picked up a minus-1 rating in each of his past four appearances. Sheldon Brookbank suited up in his place.
