EDGE Analysis
Greene has been dealing with an upper-body injury since the Kings' Sept. 27 preseason matchup with the Avalanche, but it was never believed to be particularly serious. Regardless, it's encouraging to see the 32-year-old return to the ice ahead of Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Sharks, which Greene shouldn't be in any danger of missing.

Greene (upper body) was not able to participate in Tuesday's morning skate, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Greene evidently is still nursing the ailment to his upper body, so the team will give the veteran some more rest ahead of the regular season. When he ultimately returns, expect modest PMI totals, as he has more penalty minutes (636) than games played (586) over 10 years of NHL experience.
