Kruger signed a two-year contract with the ZSC Lions in Switzerland on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger is coming off a 2018-19 campaign with the Blackhawks where he posted 12 points in 74 appearances. Now, after nine seasons in the NHL, the 29-year-old Swede will be spending the next two seasons back closer to home.

Kruger is expected to represent Team Sweden at the upcoming IIHF World Championships, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger, who notched 12 points in 74 games this campaign, won't provide much offense for Team Sweden, but he'll be an invaluable member of their squad as a veteran leader and penalty-killing specialist.

Kruger had only two assists in 14 games in March.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger has four goals and eight assists in 71 games overall this season, averaging 10:27 per game. He lacks a physical edge, with only 49 hits and 32 blocked shots, and his fourth line deployment makes him unfavorable for fantasy purposes.

Kruger (foot) will play in Sunday's game versus the Stars, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Originally deemed a game-time decision after injuring his foot while blocking a shot Friday, Kruger will slot back onto the fourth line. He adds a solid defensive presence but doesn't add much in the offensive zone with just nine points in 55 games.

Coach Jeremy Colliton is hopeful that Kruger (foot) will be able to play Sunday against the Stars, Eric Lear of the Blackhawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger exited Friday's loss to the Avalanche after suffering a foot injury, but it appears as though his injury probably isn't overly serious. Another update on the Swedish forward's status should surface prior to puck drop Sunday afternoon.

Kruger injured his foot during Friday's game versus the Avalanche and won't return, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger blocked Tyson Barrie's shot and immediately went to the room. The 28-year-old pivot doesn't have a major fantasy impact with just nine points in 54 games, but he's a lineup fixture on the Blackhawks' fourth line. The Blackhawks now have just 11 healthy forwards, so they'll likely need to make a call to AHL Rockford before Sunday's game versus the Stars.

Kruger is only averaging 10:38 of total ice time per contest this campaign, but 1:52 of that time can be attributed to his work on Chicago's penalty kill.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger was never expected to produce much offense this campaign, so although his abilities in the faceoff circle and on the penalty kill make him an invaluable member of the Blackhawks roster, he has next to no value in most fantasy formats.

The Blackhawks activated Kruger (concussion) off injured reserve Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger returned to practice Thursday, which was the first indication that he was likely nearing a return to action. The 28-year-old Swede will almost certainly rejoin the lineup for Saturday's game against Colorado.

Kruger (concussion) was able to join his teammates on the ice Thursday, but remains on injured reserve, Chris Wescott of the Blackhawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger is taking steps in the right direction in his recovery; however, given the uncertain nature of concussions, it's not clear exactly when he might be back in action. Once cleared to play, the Swede should challenge for a top-six role given the team's lack of strong center depth.

The Blackhawks placed Kruger (concussion) on injured reserve Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger sustained a concussion when he took an elbow from Nashville's Ryan Hartman during Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Predators. Now that he's on IR, the Swedish pivot will be sidelined for Chicago's next three games at a minimum.
