Bellerive was promoted to the taxi squad Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Bellerive has racked up two goals in three games with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. The Penguins flipped Bellerive and Josh Currie for Frederick Gaudreau and Anthony Angello in order to keep their taxi squad players from going too long without any game action.

Bellerive picked up two goals and an assist in WHL Lethbridge's 6-4 win over Calgary on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
While Bellrive's overall numbers remain terrific (16 goals, 39 points in 33 games), he isn't scoring at quite the same clip as he did a season ago. Originally viewed as a candidate for the Canadian World Junior team, Bellerive ended up not even being invited to the final evaluation camp that began last week. The Pens property suffered significant injuries in a house fire over the summer and it's entirely possible he is still working his way up to full strength. Having Bellerive beat up on inferior WHL competition while the tournament is going on over the holiday season isn't the worst thing for his development.

Bellerive was reassigned to his junior club (WHL Lethbridge), TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bellerive has already racked up two points in two games for the Hurricanes and would appear to be on track to repeat his 2017-18 campaign in which he tallied 92 points in 71 games. If the center puts together similar productivity this season, he should challenge for a spot on the 23-man roster heading into the 2019-20 campaign -- although the team may opt to let him spend a year with the Baby Pens in the AHL first.

Bellerive (hands) has resumed skating at his junior club's training facility, Global News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bellerive -- who was injured during a campfire incident over the summer -- is expected to be ready in time for Penguins' training camp. The young center is unlikely to crack Pittsburgh's 23-man roster and will likely return to juniors for the upcoming campaign.

Bellerive hopes to be available for training camp, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports. "As far as I've come, as quick as I have, I don't think it's too far-fetched to think I'll definitely be ready to go by training camp and be full flight by then," Bellerive recently said.
EDGE Analysis
Bellerive was injured in a fire back in June, which ultimately placed him in the hospital for 12 days. However, he's since been discharged and is already going through workouts in the gym and on the ice. "At this point I'm feeling pretty good physically," Bellerive said. "It's a little different on the ice. In the gym I feel really good. I've made massive progress since I've been back at it. The ice is coming but that's a bit of a process as well with my hands, getting everything back without damaging any of the new skin. I've got a long way to go but I've made a lot of progress." That's all encouraging news after what was a very scary situation for the 19-year-old.

Bellerive, a Penguins prospect who was injured in a fire at a bachelor party Saturday, is expected to make a full recovery, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bellerive, WHL teammate Ryan Vandervlis, and former teammate Matt Alfaro were reportedly involved in what was initially referred to as "an incident," with all three ultimately being treated at a hospital. The 19-year-old Bellerive amassed 46 goals and just as many assists for Lethbridge this past regular season before dropping 25 more points in 16 playoff contests. We wish him the best in his recovery.
