Leopold had two shots on goals and four blocks in 17:19 of ice time in Tuesday's win over Ottawa. Leopold was a minus-1, but spent much of his time on the ice in a defensive pairing with Matt Dumba, who scored two goals. Leopold didn't get any power play time in his first game with the Wild, however.

Leopold was traded to the Wild on Monday in exchange for defenseman Justin Falk and a 2015 fifth-round draft pick, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports. Though Marco Scandella (undisclosed) and Jared Spurgeon (suspected concussion) are projected to return to action in the coming days, Leopold provides some desirable insurance on the blue line for the Wild. There's a good chance Leopold could ultimately displace Christian Folin for a regular role on the Wild's third line, but don't expect him to carry much fantasy value in that assignment. Leopold, who had open the season in St. Louis before being dealt to Columbus in November, has just three points in 25 games.

Leopold played left wing on the fourth line during Saturday's loss to the Lightning. Matt Calvert's sinus infection flared up and made him a late scratch, and the Blue Jackets were caught short of forwards after sending Josh Anderson back to AHL Springfield when Ryan Murray came off IR. Look for the club to deal one of their surplus defensemen such as Leopold, Dalton Prout or Cody Goloubef (all of whom would have to clear waivers to be sent down) once Murray proves he can handle a full workload.

Leopold scored his first goal of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Jets. After being held completely off the scoresheet in seven games with the Blues, Leopold has picked up a goal and an assist in five games since being traded to the Blue Jackets. He does have a 35-point season on his resume as recently as 2010-2011 with the Sabres, so if he keeps getting significant ice time in Columbus he might even be able to maintain that pace.

Leopold was traded to the Blue Jackets on Saturday in exchange for a 2016 fifth-round draft pick. Leopold had been collecting dust as the Blues' seventh defenseman following Carl Gunnarsson's return from a hip injury, playing in none of the team's last seven games. He could see more regular duty with Columbus on their third pairing, but probably won't provide enough of offense to warrant much intrigue in the fantasy realm.

Leopold is expected to be a healthy scratch Tuesday against the Stars, Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. With Carl Gunnarsson (hip) set to make his season debut Tuesday, it looks like Leopold could be relegated to seventh defenseman duties for the foreseeable future. Leopold had been playing regularly on the Blues' third pairing while Gunnarsson was out, logging no points while averaging 13:57 of ice time in his six games.

Even though he played in only three of the Blues' last 25 games of the regular season, Jordan Leopold dressed as St. Louis' sixth defenseman in Game 1 against the Blackhawks Thursday night. Leopold was injured for much of the season but appears fine right now and will play ahead of both Carlo Colaiacovo and Ian Cole for the time being.

Jordan Leopold will return from his ankle injury on Thursday against Buffalo. Barret Jackman will come out of the lineup because of a lower-body injury, so Lepold will take his place. Leopold has been sidelined since Feb. 8, but he'll return in time to play against his former team.

Jordan Leopold (ankle) is close to returning to the Blues' lineup. Leopold has been out since Feb. 8 and has only played in 24 games this season. When he has been healthy, he's scored a goal and six points.

Jordan Leopold (ankle) wasn't able to return Sunday and he's not expected to play until next week. He was able to return to the ice on Monday, so he appears to be over his bout with the flu. Leopold hasn't played since Feb. 8 because of an ankle injury.
