Kemppainen has signed a one-year deal with Sibiu Novosibirsk of the KHL, CSN New England reports.
EDGE Analysis
In his lone season with the Bruins, the 6-foot-3, 223-pound Kemppainen notched two goals and five points in 44 NHL games. Though the 28-year-old forward was defensively responsible and held his own on face-offs, he wasn't much of a factor on offense for the B's, which led the team to send him to the AHL, where he finished the 2015-16 season.

Kemppainen has been assigned to AHL Providence.
EDGE Analysis
Kemppainen, who has just five points in 44 games with Boston this season, figures to be back with the B's before long, but even when he does re-join the big club, the fourth-liner's fantasy value is restricted due to his limited upside on offense.

Kemppainen was recalled from AHL Providence on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Kemppainen's recall reportedly comes on the heels of news that Patrice Bergeron is suffering from an undisclosed injury of some kind. The Bruins have 12 other healthy forwards at their disposal, so it's still possible he won't draw into the lineup Saturday despite the recall. Even if he does play, the 27-year-old Finn doesn't provide much fantasy upside, totaling just three points in 35 games with the Bruins so far this season.

Kemppainen was assigned to AHL Providence on Friday, Joe McDonald of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kemppainen's last game action with the Bruins came prior to the All-Star break, but just three points through 35 contests with the team this season has resulted in his demotion to the AHL affiliate for the first time since signing with the club in the offseason. The 27-year-old Finn likely remains an option for recall later in the season, but he doesn't offer much upside even when with the parent club.

Kemppainen (upper body) will likely be activated from IR in advance of Tuesday's game against the Caps.
EDGE Analysis
The re-introduction of Kemppainen to the mix would bolster the Bruins' depth up front, but in his fourth-line role with the team, he's not a big fantasy factor, having recorded three points and two PIM in 24 games to date.

Kemppainen (upper body) is considered day-to-day by the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Per coach Claude Julien, Kemppainen "could be a possibility" for Tuesday's game against the Capitals, but so far the 27-year-old's fantasy impact has been modest, in his fourth-line role with the Bruins. To date, Kemppainen has recorded three points and two PIM in 24 games for the team.

Kemppainen (upper body) participated in practice Sunday, saying "It's really nice to practice with the team, and I've been skating now for about a week, so it's nice to get back to the ice."
EDGE Analysis
Kemppainen continues to make progress in his recovery from an ankle injury that has sidelined him since early November. There's no clear return date at this point, but it wouldn't be surprising if he's able to rejoin the lineup within the next week or two.

Kemppainen has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
While it remains unclear how Kemppainen sustained the injury during Monday's game against the Predators, the classification as an upper-body injury is a new development. Max Talbot has been recalled from the minors in the wake of the injury to Joonas Kemppainen and is most likely looking at a bottom-six role.

Kemppainen (undisclosed) will not travel to Montreal for Wednesday's contest against the Canadiens, Amalie Benjamin of Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kemppainen was limited to 3:04 of ice time in Monday's contest against the Predators, but it's still not clear how he injured himself and also mysterious is the type of ailment he's dealing with. At any rate, he should be considered day-to-day with his next chance to suit up for a game being Saturday against the Panthers.
