Scott announced his retirement Wednesday, The Players' Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott became the center of the hockey world last season when fans voted him into the 2015-16 All-Star Game. As perhaps one of the last true enforcers in an ever changing game, Scott racked up 544 PIM in 286 NHL contests. Along with his time in the Sin Bin, the winger snagged five goals and six assists while playing for seven different organizations. Undrafted out of Michigan Tech, the 34-year-old's career likely would have ended in obscurity if not for one shining moment that all started as a joke, but transformed into something amazing.

Scott's season is over, as he left the team Tuesday, LNH.com's Arpon Basu reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was given the choice between remaining with the team, or heading home, and he chose the latter, as he probably wasn't going to play much over the rest of the season.

Scott was summoned from the AHL St. John's affiliate Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Even if Scott were to draw into the lineup, it shouldn't have much of an impact on the scorebook or in fantasy leagues. The veteran winger collected just four points in 27 games with the AHL affiliate, with most of his value coming from the physical nature of his play.

Scott was acquired from the Coyotes, along with Victor Bartley, in exchange for Jarred Tinordi, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
As if John Scott being an All Star wasn't comical enough, he has now been traded out of the Pacific Division, which he had been voted to captain during the All-Star Game. Scott remains an irrelevant fantasy option, but there is no word on whether he will have to take PK Subban's spot in the All-Star Game.

Scott was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Wednesday, Sportsnet's John Shannon reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott was demoted Wednesday to make room for recently claimed Kevin Connauton on the Yotes' 23-man roster. Arizona will reportedly recall Scott in the near future, however, so that the 33-year-old winger can attend the 2016 NHL All-Star Game as the captain of the Pacific Division team in late January. Scott has tallied a single assist in 11 games with the Coyotes this season.

Scott cleared waivers Monday, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott will remain with the team for the time being, but he'll likely head back to the AHL. The winger has appeared in just two games with the parent club this season, failing to record a point in both.

Scott was placed on waivers by the Coyotes on Sunday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott seen action in just two contests for the Coyotes, and was placed on waivers earlier in the season but stayed with the club. It seems likely that he'll be sent to the AHL if he goes unclaimed this time around.

Scott cleared waivers Friday, Craig Morgan of AZ Central reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott passed through waivers unclaimed, so he'll remain with the Coyotes for the time being, though he'll likely land in the AHL in the near future.

Scott was placed on waivers Thursday,TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran enforcer will likely clear waivers and report to the Portland Pirates of the AHL. Scott offered very little fantasy value other than his ability to rack up penalty minutes. There is a chance he may end up on another NHL roster, but that is still to be seen.

Scott signed a one-year (one-way) contract with the Coyotes on Friday. Scott has never been a fantasy relevant player during his eight year NHL career, and it's doubtful that will change in Arizona. His fantasy value is limited to penalty minutes, but he doesn't get enough playing time to rack up penalties with any sort of consistency.
