Jason Bacashihua has been returned to the minors. The Flyers got Ilya Bryzgalov (foot) back in the lineup on Tuesday, so Bacashihua's services were no longer required.

With Ilya Bryzgalov day-to-day with a chip fracture in his right foot, the Flyers recalled Jason Bacashihua from Adirondack of the AHL. The veteran will serve as a backup to Sergei Bobrovsky for at least Thursday night's game in Toronto. This is the second time this season that Bacashihua has been called up to the Flyers, though he has not appeared in an NHL game since the 2006-07 campaign when he was with St. Louis.

Jason Bacashihua has been called up by Philadelphia. He may suit up as Sergei Bobrovsky's backup on Thursday because Ilya Bryzgalov is sick. Bacashihua is with the team on an emergency basis, but it is unclear at this time if he will be needed.

Jason Bacashihua has reportedly agreed to a two-way deal with the Philadelphia Flyers worth $525,000 in the NHL and $125,000 in the AHL. The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that the Flyers have not announced the signing yet, but the deal was completed on July 5 according to the NHLPA. Bacashihua posted a record of 23-16-3 with the AHL Lake Erie last season to go with a 2.29 goals against-average and a .917 save percentage. If the signing holds up to be true then he'll likely play in the minors next season.
