Nystrom (upper body) has been scratched from Sunday's game against the Ducks, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.

Nystrom made his only shot count Wednesday in San Jose, registering a goal just 3:22 into the contest.

The Swedish winger now has three goals in nine games. He's not seeing enough ice time to be a major factor for the Predators, but it's nice to see Nystrom put his scoring touch on display every once in awhile.

Laviolette's words would seem to suggest that Nystrom's injury is being viewed as more than a day-to-day situation, so it probably wouldn't be wise to bet on a return to action over the next handful of games. As a fourth-line player with only seven goals and 12 points in 60 games, Nystrom's absence probably won't make many ripples in the fantasy realm.
