Goalie Start: Tokarski gets the start Wednesday vs. Buffalo. dailyfaceoff.com Wed 11/5/14 2:56 PM

Tokarski stopped 16 of 18 shots in a loss to the Oilers in his last start (Oct. 27th). Tonight he gets back between the pipes having posted a 2.50 GAA and .909 SV% in his first three outings. He is a great spot-start option against the Sabres.

Goalie Start: Tokarski is in the starters' net this morning. dailyfaceoff.com Mon 10/27/14 2:56 PM

The Canadiens have a back-to-back tonight and tomorrow, so Tokarski was bound to get one of the two games and it looks like it will come tonight vs. the Oilers. He has allowed a total of four goals on 48 shots (.917 SV%) in one start and one relief appearance. All of a sudden the Oilers have won three in a row while outscoring the opposition 12-7. However, Tokarski remains a nice spot-start option if you are into that kind of thing on a Monday.

Goalie Start: Tokarski will start vs. the Capitals on Thursday. dailyfaceoff.com Wed 10/8/14 7:56 PM

The Canadiens start the season with a back-to-back and Carey Price is getting the call Wednesday vs. the Maple Leafs, so Tokarski will go tomorrow vs. Washington. He beat Peter Budaj out for the back-up job and will start his first full NHL season on Thursday. He went 2-0-1 with a 1.84 GAA and .946 in three starts at the end of the regular season and 2-3 with a 2.60 GAA and .916 SV% in five playoff games after Carey Price got hurt.

NHL IN 30: MONTREAL CANADIENS 2014-2015 primepucks.com Thu 10/2/14 11:26 AM

If it wasn't for goalie Carey Price getting knocked out of the series, it could have been the Montreal Canadiens playing against the Los Angeles Kings for the right to hoist the Cup.  Apparently fully recovered from his knee injury, Price looks to lead the Habs back to the Promised Land.  Gone are Thomas Vanek, Brian Gionta and Daniel Briere. Vanek didn't pan out and was often pointed out as the scapegoat.  Gionta and Briere will be missed for their leadership and playoff experience.  PA Parenteau and Tom Gilbert were brought in for depth purposes. Will the Canadiens have what it takes to get back again this year? GOALIES At 27-years of age, Price is entering his prime and has adapted to the pressure of being Montreal's starting goaltender. At 34-20-5, he almost matched his career best in 2010-2011 when he had a 38-28-6 record and his metrics were almost identical.  Now that he is a bit more seasoned, expect more consistency from Price going forward.  Peter Budaj will serve as backup again but if he falters, I'm sure the Canadiens won't hesitate to bring up last year's playoff darling, Dustin Tokarski. DEFENSE There is no denying the fire in P.K. Subban's belly but if he can control that emotion and funnel it into the game, he will be extremely dangerous. Look for Subban to mature a bit this season.  Andrei Markov seems to have rid himself of the injury bug and now has played in 2 back-to-back seasons, although one was the shortened 48-game Lockout season. Markov will still get you around the mid-40 level in points.  FORWARDS They may not have the elite name like a Crosby, Stamkos or an Ovechkin, but the Habs can throw out a few solid lines at you. Max Pacioretty along with David Desharnais, form the top pairing and should lead the team in offense. One player to keep your eye on this year is Alex Galchenyuk. This kid packs a tremendous amount of talent that it is just a matter of time before he explodes.  He has shown flashes, but not the consistency.  Slated to play on a line with Tomas Plekanec and Parenteau, these veterans just may be able to bring out his best. Brendan Gallagher is an energetic player that packs a scoring touch. For deeper leagues, Lars Eller could have a breakout year as he has been steadily improving every year. PROSPECTS Two defensive prospects, Jarred Tinordi and Nathan Beaulieu, are close to joining the club but far from making an impact. Other players are perhaps a season or two away from being any kind of factor. ...

Tokarski looked great again on Sunday, but was beat by a perfectly placed wrist shot by Martin St. Louis 6:02 into overtime. Tokarski is 1-2 with a 2.62 GAA and .917 SV% in three postseason starts. The 24-year-old will look to lead the Habs to a game 5 win at the Bell Centre tonight.

Goalie Start: Tokarski is expected to start in goal for the Habs in... dailyfaceoff.com Mon 5/19/14 7:56 PM

With Carey Price sidelined for the rest of the Eastern Conference Finals, it looks like the Habs will roll with the 24-year-old Tokariski in game 2 vs. the Rangers. Without Price, the Habs are in trouble, but Tokarski played well in a brief stint with the Canadiens this season. He was 2-0 with a 1.84 GAA and .946 SV% with Montreal and went 20-16-3 with a 2.38 GAA and .919 SV% with Hamilton in 41 AHL games. He faces the tall task of going head-to-head with Henrik Lundqvist.
