Devin Setoguchi got back into Winnipeg's lineup Sunday night after he was a healthy scratch on Friday. "We were struggling collectively as a group," said Setoguchi. "And individually, myself, I've got to be better than that." He earned an assist on the team's only goal, which was scored by Evander Kane, in a 3-1 loss to Nashville. Setoguchi has four points in eight appearances this season.

The Winnipeg Jets decided to make struggling winger Devin Setoguchi a healthy scratch (along with Eric Tangradi) on Friday. Setoguchi has three points (2G, 1A) with 12 SOG in 13:50 of ice time per game. The Jets have to be disappointed regarding his production so far, so maybe this will light a fire under him. Tangradi's been even more marginal, collecting an assist in seven games while average 10:13 minutes per night.

"I would obviously love to play with the guy. I thought I was fast until I tried to keep up with him. It's always fun playing with a guy like that who can really skate and use his presence and shoot the puck." The two of them will likely form two thirds of the Jets' second line. They will probably be centered by either Mark Scheifele or Olli Jokinen.

Devin Setoguchi will wear No. 40 when he plays for the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets also announced that Michael Frolik will don No. 67, Matt Halischuk will put on No. 15, and Adam Pardy will have No. 2. Setoguchi has the most fantasy value of the bunch, but even his could be limited in 2013-14. If he occupies a top-six forward spot with his new club then he may be good for around 20 goals and 40 points.

Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff has deepened his team's forward core this offseason. "We feel we're a much better team today than we were entering the NHL entry draft with the two players (Devin Setoguchi and Michael Frolik) we were able to acquire," said Cheveldayoff. Setoguchi could open training camp on a line with winger Evander Kane.
