Weise scored the first and last goals of the game in Friday night's 7-2 win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Weise, who potted a career-high 10 goals in 2014-15, could be an affordable contributor for fantasy teams this season. He's playing regular shifts on the third line for a team that's leading the NHL in goals, averaging nearly eight per game.

Weise scored his first goal of the season Thursday in a win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a career-high 10 goals and 29 points last year, Weise opened this season quietly, notching an assist and a minus-2 rating in the first four games, but he beat Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers, with whom he made his NHL debut in the 2010-11 season after they drafted him in '08. As a third-liner who doesn't mix it up that much and has limited offensive upside, Weise doesn't hold a lot of fantasy value.

Weise picked up an assist and went minus-1 against the Penguins on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The point was his first of the year, and it's hard to imagine the bottom-six winger earning all that many more. Last season's 29 points may be tough to match for Weise, who's better known for his gritty physical play than his scoring touch.

Weise lead the Canadiens with two goals in the preseason.
EDGE Analysis
Weise is slated for third-line duty to start the season, skating with Tomas Fleischmann and David Desharnais. That trio has been the most productive grouping during the preseason.

Weise (maintenance) took part in warmups in advance of Sunday's Game 6 against the Sens, John Lu of TSN reports. Weise, who did not take part in Sunday's morning skate, worked on a trio with Alex Galchenyuk and David Desharnais in warmups, while Brian Flynn and Manny Malhotra are in line to be the Habs' scratches up font on Sunday.

Weise (maintenance) did not take part in Sunday's morning skate, Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette reports. Per coach Michel Therrien, Weise -- whose absence Sunday morning was characterized by the team as a therapy day -- should be available for Sunday night's game against Ottawa, but such an outcome may not be solidified until pre-game warmups. Weise has scored two goals through the first five games of the Habs' series against Ottawa, with both of his tallies having come in Game 3's overtime win.

Weise netted a pair of goals, including the overtime winner, Sunday against Ottawa in Game 3. A heroic effort from Weise, who also finished with three shots on goal. The third-liner is a solid depth scorer and is capable of producing in a bottom-six role. Weise scored three goals in the Canadiens 2013-14 playoff run and is delivering once again this time around. If Montreal can keep getting production from depth players like Weise, they could make it very deep into the playoffs.

Weise was named the game's first star Thursday after tallying his 10th goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Carolina. Because the goal -- which he scored 5:51 into the first period -- was the first one scored in a shutout, Weise was credited with the game-winner. He's picked up three points in his last two games, but hasn't taken more than one shot on goal in a game since Feb. 24 -- a 12-game span.

Weise captured a secondary assist on Max Pacioretty's third-period goal in the Habs' shootout loss to the Kings on Thursday. Weise is still hanging on to a top-six role with the Canadiens, but his production has largely dried up after a hot start to February. He's recorded no goals and three assists over his last 13 games, and hasn't been especially active in the shot department, either, logging only 11 shots on goal during that stretch.

Weise bagged a goal and assisted on another in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Bruins. That's back-to-back two-point performances for Weise, who continues to shine on the Habs' top line. He's now compiled three goals and two assists over his four February games, sending his ownership rates on deeper fantasy leagues on the upswing.
