Chad LaRose (upper body) will not play in Monday's contest. The silver lining is that LaRose did skate with the Hurricanes Monday morning. LaRose has 11 goals and 22 points in 49 games this season.

Chad LaRose might not be able to play on Friday because of an upper-body injury. He is being listed as day-to-day.

Chad LaRose (flu-like symptoms) is ready to rejoin the Canes' lineup. LaRose, out the past two games with flu-like symptoms, was at practice today at the RBC Center in Raleigh and is ready to rejoin the lineup. However, Canes coach Kirk Muller said an extra forward likely would be on the three-game trip this week.

Chad LaRose did not practice on Wednesday due to an illness. He is being listed as day-to-day and Carolina brought up Drayson Bowman in case he is unable to go on Thursday.

Chad LaRose, who was cut by skate prior to the All-Star break, will be back in Carolina's lineup on Tuesday night. He suffered the injury during the team's final contest before the break and used the time off to get better. LaRose has recorded 11 goals and 10 assists in 45 games this campaign.

Chad LaRose is expected to be out for seven to 10 days after being cut by a skate Monday. The Hurricanes are hoping that he will be ready to play when the team plays on Jan. 31 against the New York Islanders after the All-Star break.

Chad LaRose left Monday's game in the second period after he was cut by a skate following a collision with Winnipeg's Chris Thorburn. He did not return to the contest, but the injury to his lower body isn't believed to be as serious as initially feared. Coach Kirk Muller said that the team is hopeful that LaRose will be available when the NHL resumes play after the All-Star break.
