Byron Bitz was signed by VAN on Friday January 18.

Byron Bitz is eligible to return from his two-game suspension in Game 4 at Los Angeles on Wednesday night. He received the ban for running Kings' forward Kyle Clifford from behind into the boards during Game 1 of the best-of-seven series. Even though Bitz can play, he isn't expected to draw back into the lineup for Vancouver.

Byron Bitz has been suspended for two games for boarding Kings' forward Kyle Clifford. The incident occurred during Game 1 on Wednesday night in the second period. Bitz received a five-minute major and a game misconduct on play and Clifford wasn't able to return due to an upper-body injury. Bitz won't be eligible to return until Game 4 in Los Angeles on Wednesday April 18th.

Byron Bitz has a hearing scheduled with the league for hitting Los Angeles' Kyle Clifford from behind into the boards during Wednesday night's contest. Bitz was assessed a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct during the second period on the play. Clifford was not able to return after absorbing the hit.

Byron Bitz was recalled by Vancouver Wednesday and he is projected to draw into the lineup for Thursday's match-up versus Calgary. He will replace Zack Kassian (shoulder) and is set to play on the Canucks' fourth line. Bitz has appeared in eight NHL games this season, while collecting four points, 14 penalty minutes and 17 hits.

The Vancouver Canucks have sent Byron Bitz to the minors. Bitz was sent down after the trade deadline and can be recalled at any time. Just an FYI.

Byron Bitz (hip) said he felt good after he skated on Wednesday, but he isn't sure if he will play Thursday against Detroit. "I got back out there today and felt pretty good," Bitz said. "I'm not really concerned. It's nothing related (to previous injuries). It's not in my hip joint, not a sports hernia. It's just a sore hip flexor from the amount of volume (of skating). I missed a lot of time and then it's every second day at a high pace. It's kind of par for the course." Bitz has picked up four points, 14 hits and 14 penalty minutes in seven games with the Canucks.

Byron Bitz will not be in the Canucks lineup against Edmonton Sunday night. Bitz is nursing some soreness in his hip flexor and will be replaced by Dale Weise. Adjust your lineups accordingly.

Byron Bitz, a 6-foot-5 winger, is making a nice comeback with the Vancouver Canucks. Bitz has played three consecutive games with the Henrik and Daniel Sedin and is riding first-line shotgun with the twins. He has three points in three games. Looks like a fit.
