In the 400th game of his NHL career, Prust had an assist in Friday night's 6-2 win over Los Angeles. Since causing 27 minutes in penalties against the Sabres on Nov. 28, Prust has more points (three assists) than PIM (two). The 400 games is a remarkable achievement for Prust, who was a walk on as a junior with the London Knights and has since agitated his way into a respectable NHL career. Known more as a fourth-line grinder and a pugilist, Prust has worked his way onto the third line with David Desharnais and P.A. Parenteau after recent line changes implemented by head coach Michel Therrien.

Prust was tagged for 27 PIM in Friday's loss to the Sabres. Well, at least he is contributing with PIM, because he really isn't doing much else. Through 24 games, Prust has just one goal and four assists, making him not worth your time in fantasy. His 62 PIM are second most in the NHL, but aside from that, there really isn't much else the third-liner provides.

Prust scored a goal in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings. It was the first goal of the season for Prust to bring his point total to four. At this rate he likely won't top his career best of 29 points, so while he's a useful winger for the Habs, he doesn't hold a lot of value for fantasy purposes.

Prust skated on the third line Saturday night and had two assists in a 4-1 win over the Wild. He skated a season 15:20. Head coach Michel Therrien hit on a nice blend of grit, size and offensive skill when he assembled Prust, Lars Eller and Jiri Sekac on the third line for Saturday's game. Prust has the ability to elevate his game when moved off the fourth line and we imagine this trio will stay together for the immediate future, leaving Rene Bourque in the press box.

Brandon Prust skated with Rene Bourque and Lars Eller during Thursday's morning session. He will return to the lineup on Thursday night in Game 6 after serving his two-game suspension. Prust will be taking injured winger Dale Weise's spot on the Canadiens' third line.

Now that his suspension is over, Brandon Prust will be reinserted into Montreal's lineup. No surprise there, but now we have confirmation. Prust was forced to miss two games after he delivered a late hit to Derek Stepan that left the Rangers forward with a broken jaw.

Brandon Prust has completed his two-game suspension for his "late" and "violent" hit on Derek Stepan. Stepan suffered a broken jaw as a result of the blow. Prust was forced to miss Games 4 and 5 of the Eastern Conference Final as punishment for his actions.

Brandon Prust is sorry that he injured Derek Stepan with his late hit in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final. Prust was suspended two games for the hit in the first period that broke Stepan's jaw. The former Ranger texted Stepan to say he felt "awful" about the result of the hit. "It's an unfortunate injury, unfortunate for him and unfortunate for me," Prust said. "I'm not out there trying to injure anybody, and (Stepan's) a friend of mine. My main focus of my hit was keeping my elbow tucked and trying to make sure I got him in the chest. By no means, whether they're friends or not, you don't want to injure anybody." The Canadiens trail in the series 2-1, with Game 4 on Sunday night.

Brandon Prust will have a phone hearing due to his hit on Derek Stepan on Thursday. Prust wasn't penalized for the first period hit, but the Rangers felt it was a high hit. Stepan briefly left the game, but returned for the remainder of the contest.
