Raanta was promoted from AHL Chicago on Tuesday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Hurricanes already have three goalies on the roster, so Raanta's chances of playing in the postseason are incredibly low. Raanta struggled in 24 games with the Hurricanes this campaign, and he was a touch worse with a 2-2-4 record, a 3.54 GAA and an .873 save percentage in eight contests with the Wolves after he was sent down.

Raanta is on waivers Thursday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta was activated off injured reserve Wednesday after recovering from his lower-body issue. He has a 12-7-2 record, 2.99 GAA and .872 save percentage in 24 contests this season. With Frederik Andersen (illness) looking poised to return Thursday against Montreal, look for Raanta to head to AHL Charlotte if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

Raanta (lower body) was removed from injured reserve Wednesday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta's activation indicates he's ready to return to the goaltending mix for the Hurricanes. The 34-year-old will likely slot in as the No. 2 goalie behind Pyotr Kochetkov for now, however, Frederik Andersen (illness) appears poised to return to action soon, and he could take over as the Hurricanes' No. 1 option in net down the stretch.

Raanta (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, per CapFriendly.
EDGE Analysis
This is simply a paper move as Raanta has already missed the last 10 games. The 34-year-old doesn't have a clear timeline for his return at this time.

Raanta (lower body) will be be out for at least a couple of weeks, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta, who was hurt in Thursday's 5-2 loss to Colorado, may not be available to return until later this month. Spencer Martin will serve as Pyotr Kochetkov's backup until Raanta is back to full strength. The 34-year-old Raanta has a 12-7-2 record this season with a 2.99 GAA and an .872 save percentage over 24 games played.

Raanta (lower body) will not return to Thursday's game versus the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta didn't start the game, but he played the second period after Pyotr Kochetkov faltered late in the first. The Hurricanes were forced to go back to Kochetkov after Raanta was injured late in the middle frame, though he was able to finish the period, stopping all nine shots he faced. If Raanta misses time beyond Thursday, Kochetkov and Spencer Martin will presumably be the Hurricanes' goaltending duo.

Raanta made 10 saves in a 3-1 win over the Coyotes on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta was barely tested Saturday. Logan Cooley was the only desert dog to score, and it came on a deflection. It was an odd contest -- the Canes spent almost the entire game in the Coyotes zone, but it took until the last minute of the game to secure the win. Raanta has won three of his last four starts, but it remains to be seen what role he will ultimately play with Pyotr Kochetkov back from injury (concussion) and working his way into rotation.

Raanta will protect the home goal versus the Coyotes on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
While Pyotr Kochetkov (concussion) came off injured reserve Friday, he won't displace Raanta from the starting spot just yet. Raanta has played well lately, going 4-2-1 with a 2.23 GAA and a .902 save percentage over his last seven games, all at home. The Coyotes are 2-3-1 over their last six games, scoring just 15 goals over that span.

Raanta saved 23 of 25 shots in a 3-2 win over New Jersey on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta allowed two goals on 10 shots in the third period but held on to win the contest. He improved to 11-7-2 with a 3.14 GAA and an .869 save percentage in 22 contests this season. This is an encouraging showing after Raanta stopped just 44 of 53 shots (.830 save percentage) over his previous three outings.

Raanta is expected to be between the home pipes Thursday versus New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
Spencer Martin picked up the start Wednesday, so it only makes sense that Raanta will get the call against the Devils. It has been a tough season for Raanta, as he was waived earlier in the season and spent a couple of games with AHL Chicago. Raanta is 10-7-2 with a 3.20 GAA and a poor .866 save percentage. He will take on the Devils, who have scored 156 goals in 45 games, 10th in the NHL.
