Lindback made 31 saves in Saturday's 2-0 loss to the Rangers. He allowed one goal. He didn't have much of a chance on the goal he allowed -- he was screened badly and the puck somehow made it through a maze of players. He deserved the game's third star, but he remains a sketchy fantasy play. This is Buffalo, after all.

Lindback will be between the pipes for Saturday's game against the Rangers, WGR 550 reports. It will mark the fifth straight appearance for Lindback, who appeared in relief of Matt Hackett in last Saturday's loss to the Capitals. Lindback hasn't had much success in those outings with an 0-2-1 record, 3.16 GAA, and .914 save percentage, numbers that don't figure to notice much improvement with the Sabres embracing a full-on tank job. He'll be a heavy underdog Saturday.

Lindback allowed three goals on 34 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Maple Leafs. Lindback played well enough to pick up a point for his team, but saw his record fall to 2-10-1 on the season after allowing a shootout goal or Tyler Bozak. He's been decent since being traded to the Sabres, recording a save percentage of at lease .909 in all four appearances, but is still only a viable fantasy option in the deepest of leagues.

Lindback will be in the net for Wednesday's game against the Maple Leafs, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports. Lindback will earn the start by virtue of performing marginally less worse in Saturday's loss to the Capitals than Matt Hackett, who started the game. Coach Ted Nolan figures to give both goalies frequent looks as the season winds down, with neither representing an enticing play, even in a seemingly favorable matchup like Wednesday's. Between the Stars and Sabres this season, Lindback has posted a cumulative 3.63 GAA and .886 save percentage over 13 appearances, with both of his two wins coming with Dallas. There's little upside to be had here.

Lindback appeared in relief against the Capitals on Saturday night. He gave up two goals on 22 shots. Both he and Matt Hackett were pelted with pucks -- the Caps recorded 45 on the night. Avoid Lindback even if he earns starter's playing time. The Sabres won't support him with any offence and he's far from able to steal games with his skill.

Lindback surrendered three goals on 37 shots in Friday's loss to the Senators. It was his fourth straight loss. While Lindback played well in the loss, it dropped his record to 2-10-0 on the season. He's looked alright in three starts with his new team, but considering it's the Sabres, don't expect many wins. To add to the misery, Lindback currently owns a lacking .884 save percentage and 3.59 GAA. A fresh start is always nice, but there are better options out there.

Lindback will start Friday's game against the Senators, Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun reports. Fellow goaltender Chad Johnson was expected to start Friday, but he will not suit up after suffering a lower-body injury during the Sabres' morning skate, and Lindback will get the nod instead. He will square off against an Ottawa team that enters Friday's game having gone 6-0-1 over its last seven games.

Lindback is slated to start Friday's game against the Senators, Paul Hamilton of WGR550.com reports. Chad Johnson was originally scheduled to be in the crease for the Sabres, but he's now being listed as doubtful to play after suffering a lower-body injury during the team's morning skate. As a result, Lindback will take a second consecutive turn, and could be in line to start both ends of the Sabres' weekend back-to-back should Johnson's injury prevent him from being available Saturday. No matter which goalie is in the net for the Sabres on a particular night -- Lindback, Johnson, or AHL call-up Andrey Makarov -- it will be difficult to extract any sort of fantasy value, as wins have been exceedingly scarce for the league's worst team.

Lindback stopped 32 of 35 shots, but the Sabres didn't muster any goals on opposing netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy in Tuesday's road loss to his old Tampa Bay mates. The silver lining is that Lindback did play well overall in his Sabres debut. Unfortunately, that lining is just barely visible on the fringes of the dark cloud of misery enveloping the goaltending job in Buffalo. The Sabres are, in a word, awful; considering that Lindback couldn't put up passable stats for much better teams (the Stars this year and the Bolts the prior two years), it's hard to believe he'll carve out much fantasy relevance in his newest home.

Lindback is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Lightning, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports. In the wake of Monday's trade that sent Michal Neuvirth to the Islanders, Lindback is now in line to work in tandem with newcomer Chad Johnson, though playing behind a rebuilding Sabres' squad, neither of the goalies represent reliable fantasy options at this time.
