Former Cowboys S Gerald Sensabaugh has retired from football. Sensabaugh signed a one-day contract with the Cowboys, and he'll be placed on the reserve/retired list on Friday. The soon-to-be 30-year-old spent the last four seasons with the Cowboys after being a fifth-round pick of the Jaguars in 2005. Sensabaugh amassed 411 tackles, two sacks, and 14 interceptions across eight seasons. The Cowboys released him earlier in the offseason, and Sensabaugh drew a bit of interest from the Cardinals and Titans. Pro Football Focus graded him out as its No. 73 overall safety in 2012.

The Titans are showing interest in free agent S Gerald Sensabaugh. There's a connection here as current Titans secondary coach Brett Maxie was with Sensabaugh in Dallas. The versatile veteran has also been linked to the Cardinals.

Free agent S Gerald Sensabaugh visited the Cardinals on Monday. No deal has been announced, and Sensabaugh has more visits lined up. Arizona may not be a fit after re-signing Rashad Johnson to a three-year deal. We'd expect the Saints to show some interest in Sensabaugh with Rob Ryan now in New Orleans.

Cowboys FS Gerald Sensabaugh (calf) is listed as doubtful for Week 3 against the Bucs. Sensabaugh felt the calf "pop a little bit" in last week's loss to the Seahawks. His safety running mate, Barry Church, is listed as probable with a quad issue. Bobby McCray would draw the start in the likely event that Sensabaugh misses.

Cowboys FS Gerald Sensabaugh may miss "a couple of weeks" with a right calf strain. After Sensabaugh's calf "popped a little bit" in Sunday's loss to Seattle, he underwent a Monday MRI and is uncertain to play in Week 3. SS Barry Church is also dealing with a quadriceps bruise and questionable to play against the Bucs. The Cowboys may have to turn to Danny McCray and Mana Silva at safety.

Cowboys FS Gerald Sensabaugh missed Monday's practice with "concussion-like symptoms." In other words, he's concussed. Sensabaugh suffered the injury in last Wednesday's win over the Giants. Dallas' free safety will likely be questionable for Sunday's tilt with the Seahawks.

Cowboys SS Gerald Sensabaugh (knee scope) passed his conditioning test at training camp Friday. Sensabaugh admits the knee isn't quite 100 percent yet after mid-July surgery, but he should be at full strength well before Week 1. Sensabaugh managed 75 tackles, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions in 16 starts last year.

Cowboys SS Gerald Sensabaugh (knee) is in danger of missing the beginning of training camp, sources tell ESPN Dallas. Sensabaugh underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee recently. It's likely a minor "cleanup" procedure, but he still might have to take it easy during camp. As a returning starter armed with a new five-year contract extension, Sensabaugh doesn't need a ton of practice reps to get ready for the season.
