Free agent FB Vonta Leach hopes to sign with a team during training camp. Leach was cut by the Ravens in February and hasn't generated an ounce of known interest, though Dolphins beat writer James Walker mentioned Miami as a possible destination months ago. Leach is entering his age-33 season and was phased out of the Ravens offense last season. He may be near the end of the line.

ESPN.com's James Walker believes the Dolphins could show interest in free agent FB Vonta Leach. Leach was linked to Miami last offseason before re-signing with Baltimore. The Dolphins were one of the worst run-blocking teams in the league in 2013 and don't currently have a fullback on their roster. Leach looked to be near the end of the line with the Ravens and should only require a veteran minimum contract.

Ravens informed FB Vonta Leach of his release. The move clears $1.75 million in salary-cap space. It's the second straight offseason Leach has been cut loose. Whereas Leach was coming off a strong year last season, his played slipped dramatically in 2013 as the Ravens' running game went in the tank. Now 32, Leach could be nearing the end of the battering-ram line. He's made 146 career appearances.

Ravens FB Vonta Leach is a candidate for release. Leach is due $1.75 million in 2014 and would count $2.33 million against the cap. It's far too much for a lead blocker on a team going to more and more one-back sets. Leach played on just 45-of-436 snaps (10.3 percent) across the final five weeks of the season.

Vonta Leach caught three passes for 12 yards and a touchdown in Baltimore's Week 1 loss to the Broncos. Leach didn't notch a carry, but was a big part of the Ravens' screen game early on. We don't expect that to be a weekly occurrence.

Ravens re-signed FB Vonta Leach to a two-year contract. Leach, 31, received Pro Football Focus' highest grade in 2012 among fullbacks both overall and in terms of sheer run blocking. We can confirm he's still a hole clearer at the first and second levels after an intense review of Bernard Pierce's rookie tape. "Urgency" increased for Baltimore to re-sign Leach following Dennis Pitta's year-ending hip injury. The Ravens will now use rookie Kyle Juszcsyk as an H-back, where he can compensate for some of Pitta's production. We still envision GM Ozzie Newsome bringing in another wideout.

Free agent FB Vonta Leach was at the Ravens' facility on Monday "taking a physical and working out." Although nothing has yet been confirmed, it appears Leach will be re-signing with the Ravens shortly. The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson reported earlier Monday the sides were "close" to a deal after negotiating over the weekend.

Contract talks between the Ravens and free agent FB Vonta Leach have continued into the weekend. Leach was initially expected to sign with a team on Friday. The Baltimore Sun confirms the Ravens "remain the frontrunner" to re-sign Leach, but the sides are still haggling over contract details. The Dolphins never evened offered Leach a deal. The Giants were offering Leach the veteran minimum base salary.

The Newark Star-Ledger reports free agent Vonta Leach is expected to sign with a team on Friday, and is "leaning" toward re-upping with Baltimore. The Ravens have had a standing offer out to Leach worth $2 million over one year, and it appears that's the best he can do on the open market. The Giants, Dolphins, and Texans also showed interest in Leach, but ostensibly none offered more than the veteran's minimum. Leach's return can't hurt Ray Rice's fantasy outlook. The 32-year-old is still a pile driver in the running game.

The Ravens reportedly still have some interest in bringing free agent FB Vonta Leach back. The Ravens aren't shutting the door on Leach's return as they wait to see how fourth-round rookie Kyle Juszczyk fares in his first NFL training camp. If the Harvard product shows well as expected, we wouldn't expect Baltimore to make Leach any kind of offer. The Dolphins and Giants have also shown interest in Leach.
