Green participated at practice Sunday, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Green missed Saturday's practice with an undisclosed mild strain, but that evidently didn't linger long. The veteran tight end is firmly behind Hunter Henry on the depth chart and will likely be relegated to a blocking-specific role in two tight-end sets.

Green suffered a "mild strain" in an undisclosed area, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The ambiguity surrounding the nature of the injury could be a cause for concern, but it's more than likely the Chargers just want to be cautious with their veteran tight end. Green figures to reprise his role as a run blocker in two tight end sets, with the returning Hunter Henry expected to gobble up a significant chunk of the target share left behind following Antonio Gates' departure.

Green is excited to have Hunter Henry (knee) back in the fold for 2019, Hayley Elwood of the Chargers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the vast majority of the 2018 season to a torn ACL, Henry has re-established himself as the No. 1 tight end this offseason, pushing Green back to a No. 2 role. However, Green is a nice blocking complement to the receiving-oriented Henry, so there should be plenty of playing time for both in 2019. With Antonio Gates no longer in the fold -- and only likely to be brought back if the injury bug were to bite Henry or Green -- the only remote competition Green legitimately has for backup snaps will come from another blocking specialist in Sean Culkin.

Green hauled in his lone target for a one-yard touchdown reception Sunday in the Chargers' 41-28 loss to the Patriots in the divisional round.
EDGE Analysis
Though Hunter Henry (knee) was cleared to make his season debut, the Chargers limited him to just 14 snaps, resulting in Green and fellow tight end Antonio Gates both maintaining fairly sizable roles in the game plan. While Green has typically seen the larger share of snaps this season, he trailed Gates by a 44-21 margin after the Chargers were forced into catch-up mode after falling behind big early. His run-blocking skills at least worked to his advantage as the Chargers reached the goal line midway through in the fourth quarter, when Philip Rivers hit a wide-open Green in the end zone after the Patriots sold out against the run. It was just the second touchdown in 18 total contests for Green, who will likely see an even more muted role in the passing game in 2019 once Henry is fully healthy.

Green caught his lone target for eight yards in the 23-17 wild-card win over the Ravens. He also coughed up a critical fumble.
EDGE Analysis
That fumble, which came on a play in the third quarter where Green attempted to fight for a first down, directly led to the Ravens scoring their first points of the game. That capped off what had been an otherwise ugly opening three quarters for Green, who missed at least two critical blocks in the first half which led to negative plays. The veteran tight end at least made up for it in the fourth quarter, aiding a Melvin Gordon run near the goal line which was subsequently converted into the Chargers lone touchdown, but it's safe to say Green has had better days. Antonio Gates (four catches, 35 yards) continued his role as lead receiving tight end Sunday, a fact which should come as no surprise to fantasy owners who hoped to utilize Green this season.

Green caught both of his targets for 12 yards in the loss Saturday to the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Believe it or not, the 12 receiving yards is actually Green's best figure since Week 11 as the veteran tight end has been used almost entirely as a blocking option in his first season with the Chargers. Somewhat miraculously, Green needs just 17 more receiving yards to set a career high, but that doesn't mean much for fantasy owners who expected more production from him in 2018.

Green caught two of his three targets for nine yards in the win Thursday over the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Green saw 38-year-old tight end Antonio Gates catch four passes for 54 yards, reaffirming what has been a troubling trend all season - that being the former's inability to make any headway in the passing game. Green will aim to beat his career high in receiving yards (237) during the final two weeks of the regular season.

Green failed to reel in his only target during Sunday's 45-10 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Green came into Sunday on a relative streak given his block-first reputation, catching two passes in three consecutive games. Sunday marked Green's third catchless outing of the season. Despite being known for his athleticism as a receiver in college, Green was always more effective in the run-blocking and pass-protection sectors in Denver, and that hasn't changed much in L.A. Sunday brings a visit to Pittsburgh's top-10 pass defense.

Green caught two of his four targets for 27 yards Sunday during the 23-22 loss to the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Antonio Gates was surprisingly dominant Sunday, tallying five receptions, 80 yards and a touchdown across just 27 snaps. That should just reinforce the notion that Green is merely second fiddle in terms of a receiving threat from the tight end position, as the veteran appeared in 68 percent of the team's snaps, but saw the fourth fewest targets of any Chargers pass catcher.

Green caught two of his three targets for 30 yards in the 20-6 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Green has been utilized a bit more frequently as of late, recording a catch of 10 or more yards in back-to-back weeks. Of course, 58 receiving yards during that stretch isn't anything to write home about, but it's encouraging to see the veteran receive at least some semblance of targets after recording just two targets from Weeks 5-8. A return to Denver, where he played the first seven years of his career, likely doesn't make Green an attractive fantasy option next week.
