Torry Holt will sign a one-day contract to retire as a member of the St. Louis Rams.
Holt finished out his career in failed spots with the Jaguars and Patriots. Due to bad knees, Holt's effectiveness fell off the map at age 31. We suspect Holt needed at least a few more Pro Bowl-caliber seasons in order to be a legit Hall of Fame candidate. Now 35, Holt finished his career with 920 receptions, 13,382 yards, and 74 touchdowns. He made seven Pro Bowls and six times was a top-eight fantasy wideout. Holt is second in Rams history in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving TDs. Isaac Bruce, a slightly less dominant receiver but far better "compiler," is No. 1 in all three categories.
