Free-agent FS Thomas DeCoud has received interest from the Raiders. The Ravens and Cowboys have also shown interest, but no visits have been scheduled at this point. DeCoud met with the Lions on Friday and left without a contract. Rotoworld ranks DeCoud as the No. 4 remaining free-agent safety.

Free agent FS Thomas DeCoud is visiting the Lions. The Lions are looking for Louis Delmas' replacement on the back end next to Glover Quin. It's the first visit DeCoud has made since being released by the Falcons ten days ago. After a 2012 season that saw him make the Pro Bowl, DeCoud was often burned in coverage in 2013. He turned 29 on Wednesday.

Falcons released FS Thomas DeCoud. DeCoud's $4.2 million would have become guaranteed on March 15, and releasing him now saves the Falcons $3 million against the cap. After making the Pro Bowl in 2012, DeCoud was routinely burned on the back end last season. We don't expect him to have a strong market. DeCoud turns 29 in eight days.

A league sources tells Yahoo's Rand Getlin reports Falcons FS Thomas DeCoud will be released by the fourth day of the new league year. The oddly-specific date is because $2.3 million of DeCoud's $4.2 million salary becomes guaranteed on the fifth day of the new league year, which begins March 11. The move would clear $3 million in cap space. DeCoud had a miserable 2013 for the Falcons' regressed defense, grading out 83-of-86 in Pro Football Focus' safety ratings. He turns 29 next month.

ESPN Falcons reporter Vaughn McClure considers FS Thomas DeCoud's status with Atlanta "uncertain" for 2014. Signed to a five-year, $17.5 million contract in 2012, DeCoud's tackling was noticeably poor this past season, and he ranked 83rd among 86 qualifying safeties in Pro Football Focus' 2013 ratings. DeCoud carries a 2014 salary cap charge of $4.8 million with a $4.2 million base salary. The Falcons could clear $3 million in salary cap space by cutting DeCoud this offseason.

Falcons FS Thomas DeCoud (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 15 against the Redskins. Seventh-round rookie Zeke Motta will get the start in DeCoud's place, next to SS William Moore. According to Pro Football Focus, DeCoud has been nothing short of terrible in coverage this season, checking in as their No. 83 safety out of 87 qualifiers. Motta is purely a run stopper.

Falcons FS Thomas DeCoud exited Sunday's Week 14 game at Lambeau with a first-quarter head injury. DeCoud went down in a heap at the tail end of a punishing run by Eddie Lacy on Green Bay's opening drive. DeCoud is questionable to return.

The Falcons have yet to indicate whether they plan to re-sign FS Thomas DeCoud, according to Jay Adams of AtlantaFalcons.com. In his end of the year press conference, GM Thomas Dimitroff said that of the Falcons' 17 free agents, a realistic number to sign would be around eight, so Adams believes that there's no telling right now if those plans include DeCoud or not. James Sanders, who was signed as a backup safety during the preseason last year, is also set become a free agent this offseason.
