Brown (foot) has been placed on season-ending Injured Reserve, the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a definite blow to the Patriots' pass defense, as he had spent time starting at right cornerback. Logan Ryan appears to be the next man up to assume full-time duties for Brown.

Brown (foot) is listed as out for Sunday night's game against the Colts, CSN New England reports.
EDGE Analysis
Without Brown sidelined this week, the likes of Logan Ryan and Justin Coleman figure to be in line to see added snaps at cornerback Sunday in tandem with Malcolm Butler.

Brown (foot) missed practice on Friday for the second day in a row, likely due to a foot injury, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown injured his foot in Week 2's victory over the Bills, only playing 53 of 72. He then sat out Week 3's mathcup with the Jaguars. He returned to the field last Sunday but was again limited, only playing 45 of 72 snaps. The status of the Patriots No. 2 cornerback heading into Sunday's showdown with the Colts is still unknown, but if it serves as any indication, the Patriots signed cornerback Rashaan Melvin on Wednesday. Melvin along with Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, and Justin Coleman are the only other cornerbacks on the roster, if Brown is a no-go for Sunday.

Brown left Friday's game with a head injury and will not return, CSN California's Scott Blair reports. Brown wasn't the only Raider to leave with an injury Friday, as Sio Moore (neck) and Nick Roach (head) also left for good. Brown is atop the Raiders depth chart at cornerback on the right side, and if he has to miss significant time, Chimdi Chekwa would step in.

Raiders sign CB Tarell Brown to a one-year, $3.5 million fully guaranteed deal. The 49ers were reportedly offering a three-year, $10 million deal, but Brown decided to bet on himself and take the one-year offer. Brown will pencil in as the starter opposite D.J. Hayden and should have plenty of chances to prove his worth before taking another run at free agency next offseason.

CSN Bay Area reports the 49ers are willing to give free agent CB Tarell Brown a three-year, $10 million contract. It's nickel back money, but the market hasn't been hot for Brown since free agency began. He's only been lightly connected to the Dolphins. Per 49ers beat writer Matt Maiocco, San Francisco "might" be able to land Walter Thurmond for a one-year, $2 million pact, which would be savvy by GM Trent Baalke.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are interested in free agent CBs Tarell Brown and Walter Thurmond III. Miami is in need of a starter opposite Brent Grimes after losing Nolan Carroll to the Eagles. They reportedly have a lot of faith in second-year CB Jamar Taylor but want to add a veteran to the mix. Brown's market has been nonexistent.

Free agent CB Tarell Brown says he hasn't had any contract discussions with the 49ers. Specifically asked what kind of talks he's had with the 49ers, Brown replied "nothing." It directly contradicts a Wednesday report that the team was "making a push" to re-sign Brown before he hit the open market. With only 48 hours to go until Brown can begin talking with other teams, it's a safe bet he reaches free agency.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the 49ers are "making a push" to re-sign free agent CB Tarell Brown prior to the start of free agency. Brown just turned 29 in January and has started 42 games for the 49ers the past three seasons. He's spent his entire seven-year career in San Francisco and is still a productive corner on the outside. Brown is our No. 9 free-agent corner. He shouldn't command much more than $4-5 million annually.
