Spence, who recorded six tackles (two solo) in the regular season finale win over the Browns, finishes up the 2017 season with 19 tackles (12 solo), including one sack in four games.
EDGE Analysis
After leaving Pittsburgh to play for Tennessee last season, Spence was resigned after Ryan Shazier (spine) was lost for the final four games. He did an admirable job down the stretch and, although he is an unrestricted free agent, could return in 2018 depending on Shazier's recovery.

Spence totaled eight tackles (six solo) including a sack in Monday's 34-6 win at Houston.
EDGE Analysis
The Steelers needed a big game from Spence with Ryan Shazier (spine) on injured reserve, and the sixth-year linebacker delivered, sharing the team-lead in tackles and notching his first sack this season. Spence will be called upon again in Week 17 against Cleveland, as Pittsburgh is still playing for home-field advantage in the playoffs.

The Steelers signed Spence to a contract Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Ryan Shazier dealing with severe spinal injury and unlikely to play Sunday against the Ravens, the Steelers will bring back Spence, who suited up for 31 regular-season contests with Pittsburgh between 2014 and 2015, to provide some insurance at the second level. Spence played exclusively on special teams in his lone three appearances with the Colts earlier this season, but his familiarity with Pittsburgh's schemes could offer him a better chance at logging defensive snaps in his second stop of 2017.

Spence was released Tuesday by the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Pence appeared in three games for the Colts this season and was primarily used on special teams. Indianapolis was the third team Pence played for in the six years since he joined the NFL.

Spence signed a contract with the Colts on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The former Steelers and Titans linebacker had previously signed a one-year deal with the Colts in March, but was cut earlier this month when the team trimmed its roster to 53 men. However, with the team having an open spot on the roster when offensive lineman Denzelle Good (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve, Spence was near the top of the list of players the Colts wanted to bring back. He's expected to serve in a depth capacity at linebacker after accruing 54 tackles and three sacks with Tennessee in 2016.

Spence is listed as the fourth-team "WILL" linebacker in the Colts' initial depth chart of the preseason, the Indianapolis Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spence signed a one-year free agent contract in the spring and was seen as a potential starter. However, he could be cut this summer since he has just $750,000 guaranteed in his $2.468 million contract.

Spence has agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Colts, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
EDGE Analysis
A 2012 third-round selection, Spence has started 19 of his 46 regular-season games, recording 144 tackles (100 solo) and five sacks. He's never locked down a role as an every-week starter, but he could get that opportunity with an Indianapolis team that has a clear weakness at inside linebacker.

Spence (illness) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Spence apparently only needed to sit out Wednesday's practice in order to get back to full strength. The 26-year-old will likely be available in his normal capacity for Week 17 against Houston as added depth for Tennessee's defense.

Spence was held out of Wednesday's practice due to illness.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear how severe Spence's illness is at this time. His practice status the next two days will give a better indication of his ability to play against the Texans on Sunday.

Spence (ankle) is listed as active for Saturday's game against the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Spence was unable to play in last week's win over the Chiefs, but he'll return in Week 16. Expect Wesley Woodyard and Avery Williamson to get the start at inside linebacker.
