Coach John Harbaugh said there's "a realistic chance," though probably not a 50-50 shot, that Ray Lewis (toe) will play against the 49ers on Thursday. According to Harbaugh, there's no chance Lewis is done for the year. But we know this is a severe injury as the 36-year-old legend missed his first game since 2007 yesterday. Dannell Ellerbe had three tackles in place of Lewis yesterday.

Ray Lewis (toe) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals. It's the first game Lewis has missed since 2007. Reports have suggested he could be out for as long as four weeks, but it would be unwise to rule out one of the league's ultimate warriors for Thursday's tilt with the 49ers. Dannell Ellerbe is expected to start in Lewis' place today. Also inactive for the Ravens are WR David Reed, WR Tandon Doss, CB Chykie Brown, RB Anthony Allen, LB Sergio Kindle and DE Arthur Jones.

Ray Lewis (toe, questionable) is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Bengals. Warren Sapp reported that he got a text from Lewis indicating would not play today on NFL Network, and various reports have speculated that Lewis could miss "up to four weeks." Baltimore's John Harbaugh does not expect the injury to be a long-term issue and indicated he could be ready in time for Thursday's game against the 49ers. Dannell Ellerbe will replace him in the short-term at inside linebacker.

Ray Lewis (toe) will try to play Sunday against the Bengals, but reporter Peter King says he'd be surprised if Lewis played. The timetable was originally estimated to be up to four weeks, and with the Ravens turning around in four days after Sunday to play the Niners we agree with King. Then again, we're talking about Ray Lewis here, one of the more durable players in the NFL today.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh does not expect Ray Lewis' toe injury to be a long-term issue. "The injury is not any kind of a serious, serious thing," Harbaugh said. "I think it's something he could play with, possibly, but we're very confident in our linebackers." Lewis is officially questionable for Week 11, but is focusing on being ready for Baltimore's Thanksgiving tilt with the 49ers. His status will be updated Sunday.

According to the Carroll County Times, Ray Lewis' toe injury could sideline him for up to four weeks. Lewis has long been an exceptionally fast healer, but we'd have to think he's slowing down a bit at age 36. Per beat reporter Aaron Wilson, Lewis' timetable could range anywhere from just one missed game up to a month of action.

The Carroll County Times reports Ravens ILB Ray Lewis will miss "at least this game and possibly more" with a toe injury that has kept him out of practice this week. The 16-year veteran sustained the injury in last week's game. It must be serious for him to miss a key NFC North clash. Lewis reportedly traveled to South Florida on Thursday to visit a toe specialist. The Ravens will be without their team leader while the Bengals may play without their best offensive player in A.J. Green.

Ray Lewis confirmed the right shoulder injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Cardinals was a mere stinger. Lewis missed just four plays before getting back on the field. He hasn't missed a game since 2007 and is on pace for his sixth straight 100-tackle season.

Ray Lewis was forced from Sunday's game against the Cardinals in the first quarter with a stinger. Lewis has trainers looking at his neck and shoulder area on the bench. Knowing his history, we expect to see him back in the game shortly.

With a sack Sunday, Ray Lewis became the first player in NFL history to record 40 sacks and 30 interceptions. Lewis now has 40 1/2 sacks and 31 interceptions after getting to Matt Schaub in the third quarter yesterday. He continues to be a tackle machine at age 36, racking up 42 through five games this season. The Ravens are also ranked third against the run, giving up just 76.6 yards per game.
